Couldnt resist adding this A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving him at the park. As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway. The next day he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away. He put the beast out and headed home. Driving back up his driveway, there was the cat! He kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left, past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the cat there. Hours later the man calls home to his wife: 'Jen, is the cat there?' 'Yes,' the wife answers, 'why do you ask?' Frustrated, the man answered, 'Put that son of a ***** on the phone, I'm lost! and need directions!' Shazz

Good Morning, We had some rain last night and thunder and lightning. I am not sure how much but it will be good for the grass. Wilson, I am not sure what you are doing but have you tried to print it in landscape form. I used to use spreadsheets a lot and often it was the best way to print out. I don't know which program you are using but must have info for ptinting headers and page nos etc. Just try edit, tools etc. Maybe you could also change the page margins to make it fit. I am just having a coffee break from the h*******k, so can't stay long. Laurie glad you arrive home safely, Anna Hope you had a really good birthday Joddles hope you are feeling better and get good results. Devily, Donna and Rebs were are you? Hope every thing is okay. Hi Lew Lew, Forgot to mention depending on how fast you drive it shouldn't take more than an hour to get from Hope Island. Donna should be able to give you better directions, she lives not far from Hope island. It is motor way almost all the way. SuzyQ

Hi everyone,, Well Uncles visit is over and he has gone to the airport to get his plane home..I did so enjoy his visit and had a little weep saying goodby,, we are very close as we grew up together as children and he is more like a older brother than a uncle as he is only 5 years older than me. He is keen for us to visit him in the UK so we will keep that on the backburner for future thought. Laurie I see you are home and in one peice,, Did you hit the shops in Auckland,, Joodles I have not been able to read back so I hope whatever you had done is OK and you are fit and well..Did you build a snowman,,LOL We drove back from Orange on last Sat. and when we got halfway to Paramatta on the freeway there was an accident and we were sent off on a detour.. I was completely lost until I saw the sign M7 so headed for that even though I dont have a E tag, and we got home very nicely .. When I rang the E tag peeps they let me off paying as we had been put off our route by the police and we had nowhere else to go..It was great and I must now get a E tag as I will use it to go to Canberra next month.. Carol.. Thanks for the website, Hope you have a nice day also.. Anna Did I miss your birthday.. Hope you had a very happy one and got lots of nice pressies.. We had 2 barking dogs next door for 8 months on end and they did nothing until we threatened to go to the council.. Then had the hide to say they were hurt by us complaining.. Sandra Hope you got some rain We got nothing much..thinder and lightening but thats about all.. Afternoon to the Merry Wattlers We had a small splash of rain here last night...only enough to settle the dust. Hi Joodles....How ya feeling? When do you get your results back? The book I'm reading is 'The Tree of Life' by Christian Jacq. It's set in Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Senusret 1. It's the first of a trilogy and we haven't been able to find books 2 & 3 yet bugger! Shaz....loved the cat story pmsl. I wonder why it is that women seem to like cats more than men do? Lew Lew 38 bottles of chardy on the wall, 38 bottles of chardy, If one of the bottles should happen to fall.....37 bottles of chardy on the wall! Not long to go now to retirement. Shaz's joke reminded me about the cat song.....can't remember who sang it. Laurie...I'm glad you changed your name from the Queen of the Qantas club.....people might have got you confused with some of the staff pmsl. Hi Anna...congrats to your daughter. At least she has something to aim for next year. Healing thoughts on their way for Chris. Hi Carol...thanks for the web address. Every little bit helps. Graemes home from work so we are going to do some more work on the bath. See ya later. ~~~~~~~waves as she trots out to the garden to supervise hubby. Trifley X X

Hi Mary, lovely to see you back too . . . . I hope you get to have your visit with your uncle soon, sounds like you get on really well. No, I'm sorry I think I let the side down in the shopping dept. Though Ray would disagree, if you count the second hand book shops. I got a few, one in particular about James Boswell 1740-1795, autobigrapher . . . of great interest to me as my sister has his nursery crockery. An ancestor of my sisters late husband, nursed James Boswells nanny when she was elderly, and received the cup and plate in gratitude. Last year when my sister was in Auckinleck she visited the Boswell estate and was told that none of the Boswell china survived. Apparently many moons ago someone that was in charge of the estate took off with everything. As well as the Boswell significance it has family significance, BIL's younger brother was very ill (early 1930's) mum had no money to pay Dr, and right or wrong Dr wanted the Boswell china as payment - BIL came home just in time to pay Dr, so his mum insisted he have it! If this is a taste of what winter is going to be like, I think I will be on the market for some better heating, very chilly - talk later, cheers luv Laurie

Wow Von, you are so luck to be going to such a lovely city. Chiang Mai is gorgeous, . . . old city walls and moats, temples and a mighty river, not to mention the fabulous markets. We were there a couple of years ago, and I loved it. I remember a great day at the zoo out near the Chiang Uni, Elephant ride through the jungle, a lovely dinner cruise on the Ping river, and lots of bargains !!!! It will be here before you know it . . . Want a companion, I could be your guide (and take you to the Qantas Lounge) cheers luv Laurie

Afternoon Wattlers. Sunny/Ocast/Cold day in Malbin. Anna. Happy Birp day for yesterday mate xx Just having a bite to eat, and wishing all the sickies a speedy recovery. Leah. Hope you got my Email....cos its your go for the Lotto mate...:>)) A little something to give you a laugh ( sent to me from a cousin ). Think before you speak... Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak - the last one is great! Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back...or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did.... FIRST TESTIMONY: I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly,'How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?' I turned around and walked back out and never went back My husband didn't say a word...he knew better. SECOND TESTIMONY: I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, 'I think I like playing with men's balls.' THIRD TESTIMONY: My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, 'No, I'm just looking at your nuts.' My sister started to laugh hysterically. The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget. FOURTH TESTIMONY: While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving 'right now' she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, 'If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!' The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter. FIFTH TESTIMONY: Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch in between errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, she was clean. Then realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while. I asked him if he needed to go, and he said 'No'. I kept thinking 'Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me.' Then I said, 'Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?' 'No,' he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. Soooooo, I asked one more time, 'Danny, did you have an accident?' This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled 'SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!' While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had! LAST BUT NOT LEAST TESTIMONY: This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don't get any! We had a female news anchor that, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: 'So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?' Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard! Av a good un. Tony Oz.....:>)))

Afternoon Wattlers Tony not bad, have heard it before but always got to laugh at it. Not long now till you will be tripping off overseas. Anna as you know I aint got an accent unless you call Tasmanian an accent lol. Most my ancestors who came out from either England or Scotland are 4 or 5 generations back so I think I can safely confess Im an Aussie lol. Mary nice to see you back on the thread, it is nice to have relatives around. Have you set a date to put house on market yet? SuziQ, hi yes I am still around but for some reason the days seem to be getting shorter and I dont get as much done as I used to lol. So by the time I read all the lovely emails that get sent from various ones, both on here and other places, then I read alll these messages times up, have to do other stuff. Today I went to my sons place so he could go for a drive in his car, he is still on learners, and needs to get his hours up. As some may remember we had a few little probs with him a while ago. Things seem to be slowly sorting themselves out. He moved in with his girlfriend, who lives just around the corner from his Dad, so he is close if needed. She has just had her second baby last week, which I believe isnt my sons and the person that believes he is the Dad wants tests done to confirm who the father is. Which I think is a good idea because if it is not Antonys, and things dont work out, he could be paying child support and it may not be his place to do so. He seems to be a lot more settled now and is good with the kids, I do wish he would go to Tafe, or Adult Ed to better himself or look for an apprenticeship instead of just sitting around the house, but I dont want to push things. I am making homemade chicken soup for tea tonight and have to go and remove meat from bones so I will be back later. A big hi to everyone else. Cheers Sue
