Hi all Just heading off to bed but thought I'd check here first. Rebs....the scouse wasn't too bad, all things considered. I like worcestershire sauce too and splash it in or on most things. Graeme liked the scouse but Mark looked at it and decided to make himself a curry. Unless something is full of chillies he says it doesn't have taste...picky, picky, picky. Vonny....I've sent John an email containing 3 more photos of the 'artifact'. Maybe they might help. I've inspected the thing very carefully and can't find a battery compartment so all you lot with dirty minds can forget that lol. Oh....Shaz...I'll have you know i have a lovely singing voice and Anna is going to be happy she is sharing with me. I intend to sing every time I have a shower . When I'm in a hotel and don't have to worry about the hot water......I shower at least three times a day....so there pppppppp) Off to bed now...night all. ~~~~~waves from me on the Barge love Trifley

Morning Wattlers, another gloreous day in Mudgee. Off to Sydney at 10am and won't be back until Monday arvo. I'm going to try to log in down there, otherwise I'll never keep up with you lot, lol. Still have a few credits on Scotlands People, so will keep endeavouring to find things for those I haven't been able to help so far. Sitting here with the giggles this morning 'cause I've just been contacted by a girl whose mother happens to be Terry's former wife ! LOL. Sorry, can't hel meself, pmsl. And Doreen had the hide to accuse Terry of being deceptive!!! heeee heeee. Me thinks hiding the birth of a daughter since 1958 is pretty darned deceptive! PMSL. Lew Lew xxx (48! - 6 Fridays)

Sorry Anna, I've checked for 1851 and 1861 Census for your Catherine O'Connor, but no go. The closest one I can find is in 1861 - 11 years old in Glasgow. I've only got 1 credit left now, so sorry to everybody I haven't been able to help. I'll let you know when I buy more credits. Seeya, Lew Lew x

Happy Mums day tomorrow Wattlers. Here are some kind words Before I was myself you made me, me With love and patience, discipline and tears, Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free, Allowing me to sail upon my sea, Though well within the headlands of your fears. Before I was myself you made me, me With dreams enough of what I was to be And hopes that would be sculpted by the years, Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free, Relinquishing your powers gradually To let me shape myself among my peers. Before I was myself you made me, me, And being good and wise, you gracefully As dancers when the last sweet cadence nears Bit by bit stepped back to set me free. For love inspires learning naturally: The mind assents to what the heart reveres. And so it was through love you made me, me By slowly stepping back to set me free. Luv Jood

Morning Everyone. O/cast day in Melb.Temp forcast is 16c Joodle. Checked my Conway's but cant see a connection mate. My connection is through a Michael Conway b.1837 Tipperary, Ireland. Michael married Margaret Kennedy in Kilmore, Vic. 1867. His parents were Patrick Conway and Mary McGuire. Off to the Local Library today, as a book i ordered from Melb City Library has arrived ' Pomonal a picturesqe place' It cost me $9.00 to have it sent to our local library, but hopefully it will dipell any myths about some of my pioneer ancestors. The book has Photo's and story about a Hull & Williamson Family living in Pomonal 1800s who just happened to be photographed on the same pages. My grandad was William Hull b.1875 Essex, and his mother was Elizabeth Williamson. There were many Hull & Williamson marriages in Essex, that are related as 2nd & 3rd cousins inter-married back to 1800. My G,Grandad was Benjamin Hull b.1841 who married Elizabeth ann Williamson. Benjamin Hull had an older sister Sarah Hull b.1835. Elizabeth Williamson's father was Humphrey Williamson b.1816 ( widowered )and 18 years her senior married Sarah Hull, Ben Hull's eldest sister, and Ben Hull married Elizabeth Williamson daughter of Humphrey Williamson,( to his first marriage ) so Ben Hull father-in-law was Humphrey and he was also Ben Hull's brother-in-law.......:>)) Talk about kissin cousins......Dont ya love it...lol Also, Humphrey Williamson had two other children ( to his first marriage ) as well as Elizabeth. One was Mary Williamson ( Elizabeth's sister ) Mary married Jabez Sharpe. One of their children Mary elizabeth Sharpe married my grandad ( William Hull )eldest brother Henry Hull.......:>))).....and my name is Tony Hull...i think!!! Off to the Libray shortly Av a good un, and Happy Mothers day to all. Tony Hull/Williamson/Sharpe...OZ

Good Morning All, Had a nice day yesterday. It was our 37 th Wedding Anniversary. We spent a lot of time thinking about that day. We had a very small wedding, about 27 guests. We were very poor in those days, ( not much better now ),but we had a wonderful time. We went to Scotland for our honeymoon, in an old A35 van that had a hole in the floor. Our first night was spent in Sterling. next was Stonehaven, wonderful silver sands there. Then on to Loch Ness, Fort William and home. I think we had about 4 days. How things have changed. The cost of weddings today could buy a small country. We had a nice meal last night to celebrate. Next week it is the 41st anniversary of our first date. Neville said he could have commited 2 murders and be free by now. Cheeky B****r. Every one sounds to be very busy with there FH. I still have to finish all my filing, I may do some this afternoon. How did yours go Laurie? Is every thing back in the filing cabinet for Ray's homecoming. I too will be having a non event Mother's Day. I am not a mother and sadly my Mum is no longer with us. To be fair, I always get a mother's day card in March from my step-daughter in England, and I will get it out on Sunday. Lucy, the dog spends all her money on bones, so a card from her is out LOL The cold weather that we were all looking forward to has arrived now. Soon we will be wanting warmer weather. never happy are we. I hope all your sniffles and coughs are now better, the vino has proved to be the best cure I think. Forget the ecinacha. I am now going to make a pot of chicken soup for lunch and I think a run round with the vac would be a good idea. May look in later Love SuzyQ. PS my toes ache with keeping them crossed for tonight.

Yes, happy anniversary from me too Susan. Seems quite a few of us will be missing out on Mother's Day tomorrow. ... I do agree tho, it is a Hallmark Holiday, but it's nice to be thought of now and again. Susan I'm sure your dog gives you plenty of love at other times. ... He may not know its Mother's day tomorrow pmsl Off to do some much needed housework. .. See how long I can keep away from the computer this time! Glad you liked the poem Jude, it was rather touching. .. I didn't make it up though, I 'stole' it from another site. Does anyone own a Charles Burdon??? Jood

Good morning Wattlers Thanks for the poem Jood. That is one of the hardest things about being a Mum - knowing when to let go, knowing when to give that little bit more independence and freedom. And of course, still being in the background ready to dry the tears, pick up the pieces, and give the encouragement to try again if it all goes pear shaped. Congratulations on your anniversary yesterday Suzy Q - sounds as if you had a lovely day. It's amazing how quickly the years fly. My first marriage was 40 years ago this year. I can remember it all so vividly! Have a good weeekend Lew - in your new PJ's!! The contact you received from Terry's first wife's daughter sounds interesting.....! Oh the tangled webs we weave! Thanks so much for looking on Scotland's people for me. I have birth certificates for her children which give the information about her and she was the informant so one would expect it would be correct. I'm going to see if I can track down details of her marriage so I can get her marriage certificate which may shine a bit more light on the matter. Here's wishing us all good luck for tonight! We could all celebrate Mother's Day in style then! It will be my first Mother's Day without a Mother figure in my life - my ex mother in law died earlier this year. Seems funny to think that I am the matriarch of the family now. Luv Anna

Afternoon Wafflers Aawww Joodles, that poem brings a tear to the eye....very nice. SuzyQ....a very happy anniversary to you and hubby for yesterday. May there be many more. Lew Lew....oooo do I smell the hint of a scandle in ex wifey's past? Has the daughter been in contact with the mother all these years? Oh, so many questions, it's like a soap opera. Have a fun time in Sydney. Is this for shopping or pleasure? Silly me....shopping IS a pleasure for women pmsl. We've had a bright, sunny day here on the Gold Coast ....bugger, that means no rain! But it does mean the washing dried well, so now I get to do the ironing. Will be back later. Have a happy afternoon. love Trifley

Afternoon Wattlers, miss a day on here and it takes ages to catch up!! Cor you lot can talk, and whats even more surprising is most of it was actually about geneology...lol Happy aniversary SuzyQ, wishing you many more. Had a good day with my Mum yesterday, went out for lunch and then played the pokies, my sister won $20 and Mum won $15 but of course I lost my $20. We bought Mum a trendy blue striped 'granny trolly' which she says only old people use..lol Mum is 77 and a tiny size 8 and walks for miles. We thought the trolly would make it easier for her than trying to carry everything, but who knows if she'll ever use it. Did anyone notice GEELONG WON,,, sorry didnt mean to shout ...lol just wanted to make sure Tony & Lara know what they are up against next week....lol Have a great Mothers Day everyone, lets hope its helped along by the winning lotto nos, everything crossed Jude2

Trying to do some tidying up - found an old handbag in the bottom of a cupboard and decided I must throw it away so started to clean it out! Ahhhh memories................ like the egg timer that my youngest son gave me and I carried around for years, special cards from friends, etc .......... lots of history in that habdbag! Hubby wanted to do something for mother's day so I am organising an afternoon tea and have invited all the kids - will cook bikky's tomorrow. Hi all I've been doing more family history the past few days than I have in an age, but nothing new, and not for me, Im typing up my g/fs tree from written notes. .... I came across 2 pages of entries at the Liverpool (NSW) General Cemetery Anyone looking for these names? Matilda Mary Reardon Arthur (Tiny) Reardon William Metcalfe George Frederick Sharp Gertrude Sharp Lynette June Mruray George EdwardCollison Winifred Gertrude Johnson Cecil John Brown Mary Agnes Kent Hugh Robert Kent Gyler Thelma Joyce Essen Essen Stuart Tyson Kathleen Mary King Phillip Anthony King Evelyn May Cartwright Victor Roland Keith William Stanley Sindell Robert Scott Steel Rodney Roy Tipping George Augustus Gander William S Brooks Frederick Walker Arthur Livingstone Farnsworth William Strong Daisy May Elliot Edmund A Johnson Robyn Elsie Bowden Claude Murray Elrington *single names are reserved plots* Wouldnt it be lovely if any of the names belonged to someone??? ... Most of the deaths are around the 1950's onwards When I was typing up the tree, I gave one lady two husbands with the same surname. .... Oh that it was so easy to get rid of a husband with a click of a key. .. pmsl ............(just joking) Lara darling - I only have the one Hickey from Ireland, and I dont know anything about her except she was Anne Hickey married to Thomas Conway .... presumably in Ireland and she was born approx around 1800. Jood
