Morning all.. It is 3.54 am and as I have to go to the airport at 5.45am I just thought it was not worth going back to bed..If I go to sleep I will feel worse having to wake again so soon.. Gosh you lot can talk and Sandra.. I thought you were a nice quiet lady of refinement...LOL You been mixing with bad company lately...????? No you been mixing with us....so it cant be that... Why do planes come in so bloomin early in the morning, ghastly hour to go to the airport..but at least we should get there and back before the peakhour starts..One thing I hate about Sydney is the traffic..give me the country life.. Have a nice day all. will try and get back later.. Love Maryxxx

Ooo Mary, you're up early too. Chilly in Mudgee this morning, although the sun is up. Mudgee town has disappeared into a sea of mist and only the tops of the tallest trees are visible. The surrounding hills and mountains are bathed in sun and the air is very still. Well, it's another Friday and after this one, only 8 to go! My hairdresser Kim and her husband Richard finally gave birth to their first child Julian yesterday. They have been trying for 7 years and have had 6 IVF implants, so it's a very exciting time for all. He is 7lb 6oz, 50 cm with fine blond hair. A wonderful blessing for them. Painters finally finished yesterday and the tiler returns this morning to replace one chipped kitchen floor tile. Slowly reaching the end of construction (slowly I said!) Pleased to hear our 2 miners are in such high spirits. Can't wait to see them walk out of their prison. Wow, Laurie, maybe you should be giving us candlemaking lessons at the Mudgee Meet next year. Who else has some hiden talents they'd like to share? Be Nice! lol Christmas in July is also celebrated here in Mudgee, as it gets very cold in winter and it's lots of fun. If this place is finally finished by then, I just might host one, as I didn't get to put out Chrissie decorations last Christmas, 'cause they were all packed in a box somewhere! To all those under the weather, get better soon. Hugs to all. Have a wonderful day ~~~waving~~~ Lew Lew xxx

Morning Wattlers, I get one more day off until i take my turn on the tractor. So making the most of it, plan to do a bit of tree today. Tomorrow will be another storey,OH has to work off farm, so think of me going round and round. I actually quite enjoy it, once i get going, We always have a Christmas in November for OH's side of the family. And I used to think the whole family came ( until i started doing family tree ). lol. A few sore spots this morning, but nothing too bad. I do wish i had used sun screen as a kid, but we didn't back then. I don't even remember it being available, except there was one kid who always use zinc cream at the school sports......wonder if she has lovely skin now. OK i'm off to look for dead people. Have a great day. Take care Wilson

Oh Lara, nearly forgot, there is a young girl at work who is an O'dea, and someone in her clan has been doing the family tree. Just a thought, do you want me to grill her for conections for you he he. The converstion came up as we had a client come in that is on a very small twig ( by marriage) of my OH's line. Total d**k h**d and not one that we are happy to claim conection to either. Any way family tree research and names in general came up and that's how i found out her last name. You never know could be one of yours. Bye again Wilson

Hiya Folk !!! Just dropping in for a quick hello. Hope everyone is well and happy. Catch up soon. Rebs x ps, The Plough Inn is the only 'pub' in Southbank. All the other places are cafes or restaurants, although most are licensed. Only prob with the pub it is right next to the start of the weekend markets stall. Is this okay with everyone, or would you prefer somewhere a bit quieter? Let me know.

Wilson, and didn't we hate being the odd one whose mother made us wear hats and zinc cream!! I vote for candle-making too at Mudgee. Got to tell you a funny (true) story about my eldest when he was working on a farm in Colorado - potatoes and barley. The areas over there to be planted are HUGE and although he had tractor experience, it was nothing like the enormouse air-conditioned ones that they were using. When he started ploughing, he fixed his eye on a black landmark in the far distance so that the rows would be straight. Half way along he stopped to look back and check and was horified to see a lovely CURVE across the paddock. His 'landmark' was a black cow that was slowly moving as it ate!!!!!!! Got to go and shop - I haven't shopped since we got home and the pantry and fridge are really bare. ```````````Vonny

Morning Those who were at wonga meet - please claim you OH's. lol. Sent photos off to everyone who asked for them, but of course because I hadn't seen photos of OH 's just GR girls - I couldn't remember who belonged to who - lol. I knew Tony & Barb from his ASL photos, I know Michael and Lara, Heather and Barry, Laurie and Ray, but cant put together the other couples. My excuse is that we weren't introduced as 'couples' , I can feel myself digging a bigger hole for myself here. HELP!! take pity. If I'm confused, imagine what its done to everyone else looking at the pics! Vonny table is sounding good, I think Christmas in July is great - makes a lot more sense with our climate. (C'mon fess up its just an excuse to christen the table lol.) Ken always does the assembling of flat packs - as mechanic he isn't allowed to have bits left over lol Sandra loved the choccy joke. pmsl , but now not looking foward to tuesday mammogram - ooohhh/ouch. All these new bubs arrriving lately, hmm now if we count back 9 months - it was winter - lol. Well I'm off to ancestry for a while, I might fit some work in as well catch u later jude

Great photos Tony. How was Jude YV's singing voice. Her actions looked pretty full on, lol. Turned into a nice day in Mudgee. Sun shining, not a cloud in the sky, although there is a nip in the air just to remind us that winter is coming. Hope you all have a great arvo. Lew Lew x :-}

Good morning all, well there is still a little bit I can call morining. A magnificent day here on the Bay, 'clear as a bell' and 'flat as a tack' !! Lovely sunny day with clear skies, and the Bays is so flat we even have two big racing boats out there water skiing. There are only two giraffes getting time off in the sun, and there are two Tankers over at Kernell - as I look up I see that the Tugs are over at one of them now getting it ready to leave. Sorry Mary, I wasn't awake to give you a wave this morning at that hour, but your right it is nasty the planes arriving so early. With all the flights Ray has, thats one of the main reasons we live so close to the airport - I'm not at my best in the mornings! Yeah right girls !! I know Mudgee in summer . . . not a good time to be making candles, if we did it would have to be out under the olive trees with a little cooktop or something - miles away from Lew Lews lovely new kitchen. Have to be chunky ones - we all know what tapers do in the heat!!! Hey Cinders, your probably right about the Plough Inn, so maybe we should look outside the park - just out on Melbourne Street there are a few pubs with beer gardens, maybe that would be the go - can't think of the names, but from memory they were OK. Or we could always get a gooney and sit on the grass by the river - seen lots doing that so it must be fun! Thats alright JudeYV - I wont say nothing about names, we have very good friends - names Gwenda and Geoff . . . so that combination of names just wont go out of my head! Ah well, floppy disc overload . . . have to get an updated memory system! When I go out home to help on the tractor Wilson, I enjoy it too, sitting up there on my own with my music and my thoughts . . . for a little while !!! But as soon as something goes wrong (which always happens - something clogged, or broken or bent) then I just want out of there. Have fun !! Ray has arrived in LA, one night there and off to Vegas in his morning - hope his flight there is better than ours last year, so windy, massive dust storm, really scarey landing and just after we landed they closed the airport for a few hours. Lew, so glad for Kim & Richard, after all they have been through - what a great result. Well it was still morning when I started to write this, now its time for a cuppa & slice of quiche on the balcony. Have a great day all! Cheers luv Laurie

This floppy disc really is in bad shape . . . Sorry Jude YV for confusing you - try this go off saying Gwenda & Dave, Gwenda & Dave . . . . luv Laurie

Well folks . . . I give up !! Finished with family history . . . not doing it ever again . . . throwing it all in the bin . . . I can't believe what I just found! I have wasted years searching a family that dont even belong to me - or so it would seem !! Better not throw it out just yet . . . But, it would seem that my gtgran was married and had two children before she remarried and had another 9 - my gran it appears was really from the first marriage. Have never been able to find a birth record, but that didn't suprise me, as I have lots like that - they did live out on the never never, Even the bush brothers only came a couple of time a year so baptisms were an all in affair - if you happened to be in town when they came. Registrations - haven't got time to do things like that! It was finding gtgrans death mistranscribed as Butson instead of Beetson that got me on a search of NSWbdm's just using town names - have ordered cert will let you know how it works out! BUGGER !!! thinking of the money spent already on certs that may not be relevant - maybe ebay gotta laugh or I'll cry . . . Feeling quiet deflated - going for a walk, luv Laurie
