Good Afternoon Wattlers, Happy Birthday Vonny, hope you have a great day, 28 this time is it? The photo's are great, thanks. All you poor sick peeps, I hope you get well fast. Don't forget to get your flu jabs, ( says she who keps forgetting to ring the doc ). Sue, the feelings must be electric in Tassia at the moment. I am guessing that you can feel the tension. The emotions of the families of those miners must be all over the place. I just can't imagine what they are going through. I think we still need to pray for them. It is cold also here in the evening and morning, but good for sleeping all snuggled up. Just now it is quite warm. Went for the weekly shop this morning and got it all put away before lunch, for a change. Yesterday I cleaned out the food cupboards, so I had lots more room. Anna, I too wanted Toby to win. I am beginning to think it is a bit crooked. Toby was by far the best dancer, although Grant is very good. Am I right in thinking that all the winners so far have worked on Channel 7? We should all vote for Kostya, I would love to see him win. Trifley, I think you must be very smart, you got the same as me and I know that I am clever. LOL Rebs cheated, her daughter did a similar test and she remembered. Has anyone heard from Donna lately? Perhaps I will email her just to check. A bit of a funny story. I met Barb ( 2nd time around ) as we were teenage sweethearts that went in seperate directions ( as ya do ). In 1992 we met again by accident...and i visited her home, where she had been living alone for 13 years. She invited me in for a coffee and a chat, and we both reminissed about our pasts. I noticed that her back door wasnt closing properly, so went to my Van and got some tools, and within 5 minutes the back door was operating correctly. Barb proceeded to tell me she had been waiting 10 years for someone to fix that bloody door....lol Well...............that was 13 years ago, and there just seems to be so many things that dont work in her house that need fixing??????...........:>)))) Tony Oz....:>)) update: Jude...lol Yes, i must admit i do say that to Barb....BUT.....lol......when we go shopping.....its, see that dress, perfume,jewellry........so its tit fer tat...:>))

Afternoon Wafflers I must have my list wrong.......I've got Vonny's birthday as 19th. Happy day anyway Vonny. I wont sing happy birthday as sooo many peeps on this thread can't recognise a good singer when they hear one lol :o) Graeme has definately given me his head code.......mongrel! I'm snuffeling and sneezing and talking fuddy. Mark is still not well.........headache, aching joints, abdo pain and general malaise. He didn't go to gym last night so he must be sick. Vonny loved the Scotsman balloon. Gives new definition to waht a scotty has under his kilt.Nothing incriminating from Y'wonga I see....hmmmm !!! Hopefully we'll get some lovely shots of everyone at the 'Woscars' in June in all their finery. With all those tiaras and boas en masse I hope we don't attract the ettentions of some old drag queens though..........would make for some very interesting photos. lol !!! Thanks heaps for the birthday wishes all. Actually, we aren't doing anything for my birthday till the weekend although Hubby might surprise me yet. On Saturday my eldest and his wife are taking me to Bungendore (village outside Canberra) to buy some paintings I have had my eye on. We will probably also go looking at antiques. I have decided that for my next noughty b'day (in 4 years time) I want a week at one of those health resorts. I've told them now, so they can all save! hee hee. Tony, sent you the numbers although they are a bit small and hard to see. looking after the grand d all day - such a chore :) Commiserations to all the sickie ones. Arvo Wattlers You lot are meanies - I have had to read 20 PAGES of wattle waffling to catch up on all the goss. Well I will add my thanks to the Lovely Lara and Michael on opening up their home for the Wonga meet. To everyone and their OH's who went ,you are a truly great group of peeps so pleased to have met you in the flesh (so to speak!) lol.Hope you all had a pleasant journey home. Laurie thank you for the pics. Lara will send you some tonight , anyone else who wants them let me know. Vonny loved the balloons - the bees were beeautiful. Happy birthday to Vonny - hope you get madly spoilt and lots of pressies. To all you sickies I hope you are on the mend soon and please don't send the rest of us your germs. Ken was complaining last night about needing a haircut, so I went and got the scissors and went to work, had to use the clippers on the back of his head and ooopppps - the end fell off, so had to keep cutting to even it up -lol. Well that will teach him to give me a couple of glasses of vino and then expect me to be highly co-ordinated. Its a bit short but he keeps telling me there is only a week between a bad haircut and a good one ? Daughter trained as a h'dresser so have had a few lessons albeit minus the sauv.blanc. I should have let Tony's Barb at him on the weekend - lol Well I'd better do some work so I can go home soon. Arvo All, feeling much brighter this afternoon. I took it much easier today (after I'd been to the office!), but I have been keeping an eye on this thread, otherwise I'd never keep up, lol. Had a good meeting with the landscaper this afternoon at the local nursery. He knows 'exactly' where we're coming from and luckily the nursery is owned by a good friend and she went to Sydney yesterday and brought back some wonderful plants. Lots of structural grasses, tree ferns, grevilleas. Lovely! Turf goes down next week, thank goodness, 'cause the dirt is blowing everywhere. Will it never rain? Currently enjoying a glass of red - for medicinal purposes only of course. Can't wait for those poor miners to be brought to the surface. Perhaps the media will then leave them and their families alone. For all those feeling under the weather, get well. For all those who are well, stay that way! Lew Lew (58 sleeps)
