Hey Mumsie, as long as their a*rses look good in shorts I'm happy!!!! Although a cute bum and a pair of long legs clad in fitting denim has it's merits as well. |

Well its half time at the footy, Tony I started following the Hawks, not because of Dermie, as I was already a hawk supporter when he started playing. I was loured(spelling) to the Hawks by a high flying blonde by the name of Peter Knights, loved the contests between him and Van der har from Essendon. Lara yes I thought the loud mouths during the anzac rememberance was bad, dont care if it was hawk or blues supporters, its not hard to keep your mouth shut for just 1 minute. Well back to the game. |

1948 birth certificate Sydney, Australia I have a copy of a birth certificate that I am trying to understand some of the details in some of the columns. Is there anyone who is familiar with the details on certificates from NSW, Australia? I would need to send you a copy of it so would need an email address to attach it to. Thank you in advance. Morning folk!! BooHoo...............crying into my morning coffee. Didn't get to see the game. The man went to bed a he's working today, so couldn't risk his ire by yelling at the telly. Stayed up and watch Fame instead. Brought back a few memories!! Hi Margaret, I've only got a NSW birth cert from 1870, so I'm not sure if the layout will be the same, but I guess the contents would be similar. There are a few lovely folk on here who would have seen more up to date certs. I'm sure one of them can help better than myself. Off for another coffee. I'll be drinking gallons of the stuff after only 5 hours sleep. Rebs x |

Good morning all another lovely sunny Botany Bay day . . . There is a chill in the air today though, but as long as the sun is on the balcony and I'm out of the breeze I'm still OK mate! The water in the Bay is a very pretty pale blue this morning, with a cloudless sky. We have two yellow and one red giraffe idle this morning, and several small fishing boats out after the catch of the day. Can't see any one in the water, but plenty of folks out on the sand, walking or playing - and a game of volleyball underway just up a bit further. Had a lovely lunch with Joodles, not much eating or drinking - mostly chin wagging, she is such a lovely lady - generous too - she shared more 'family stuff' with me, includeing a copy of a letter my gtgran sent to her gran (they were sisters) - I'll share because it is fitting as Anzac draws near. Written 19/12/1945 My dears sister Eveline, I am almost ashamed to write as it is quite a long time since I received your very nice letter but all the same, I thought about you. Hope you and your family are all well; we are all well. My Kate has not much of a Christmas as she has received the final news of the fate of her boys. Her son-in-law was lost in the Hell Ship going to Japan as a P.O.W. The boy in Malaya was blown to atoms and the flying boy was burned in the plane over Hamburg, Germany. Her son John is getting his release out of the Army and I am glad. There is a boy in W.A. somewhere who was a gunner in the plane and got out but I dont know his name. I will find out and you might be able to hear the facts about it. A 'shoulder' (soldier) returned to Canowindra told my grand-daughter Bessie all about what happened to my Grandson Victor Goodfellow who it is sad but they did their best to save Australia 'God Bless their Memory and all other Aussies who fell. let us hope we and all the world that we live in peace.' I cannot write any more, will close with love and best wishes for your family and also yourself from Jen, Joe and myself. Affect, sister Anne My gtgran was about 85yrs old when she wrote this letter - My poor Grandma Kate (her eldest daughter) as she points out lost her son-in-law Alan (POW), her son Geoff (Germany), and her son Victor (Malaya) in the war - the John she spoke of was my Dad. . . and I'm all emotional . . . back later luv Laurie |

Busy making toasted marshmallows, but I remembered I forgot Marys' daily fix so I'm doing a quick dash'n splash while they set. Have a great day folks, love Rebs x :-))))) A teacher gave her class of 11 year olds an assignment: Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next day the kids came back and one by one began to tell their stories. Karl said, 'My father's a farmer and we have a lot of egg laying chooks. one time we were taking our eggs to market in a basket on the front seat of the car when we hit a big bump in the road and all the eggs went flying and broke and made a mess.' 'What's the moral of the story?' asked the teacher. 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket!' 'Very good,' said the teacher. Next little Emily raised her hand and said,'Our family are Farmers too, but we raise chooks for the meat market. one day we had a dozen eggs, but when they hatched we only got ten live chicks, and the moral to this Story is, 'Don't count your chickens before they're hatched'.' 'That was a fine story Emily.' Said the teacher Next Mick raised his hand. 'Mick, do you have a story to share?' 'Yeah. My dad told me this story about my Aunty Sharyn. Aunty Sharyn is in the air force and she was a flight engineer on a plane in the Gulf War and her plane got hit. She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was 3 bottles Of rum, a machine gun and a machete. She drank all the rum on the way down so it wouldn't break and then she landed right in the middle of 100 enemy troops. She killed seventy of them with the machine gun until she ran out of bullets. Then she killed twenty more with the machete until the blade broke. And then she killed the last ten with her bare hands !!' 'Good heavens,' said the horrified teacher, 'What kind of moral did Your father tell you from that horrible story?' 'Stay the hell away from Aunty Sharyn when she's been on the rum!!!!'................. Bundy anyone???? :-ppp |

Hi Rebs Had to copy that one..pmsl! I have a few non GR friends who will love it! Didn't you get the storm? It hit here like a cyclone but only lasted about 30 mins. Thank the gods the hail was only small or we would have lost windows on the southern side. Did you say marshmallow? I love marshmallow....yum. You obviously like to cook. I hate to cook...that's why I married Graeme. He was an air chef for QANTAS. We make a good pair....he cooks....I eat ha ha. Have we settled on Saturday 10th June for the Brissie meet? I want to book my hotel. ~~~~~~waves from royal barge love Trifley |
