Hi I dont have thyroid problems myself, but found this thread very informative. My sister had thyroid cancer at the age of 16 and had all of it removed including her other neck glands, she thankfully beat the disease but has had years of trouble finding the right levels and so on, she has to take calcium and thyroid replacement and really has really suffered from this and at times it makes her very depressed which is hard for her and our family. Any info on this that i can pass onto her would be great. Scarlett. |

Thanks for nudging this, Linda.... Thyroid problems can also be caused by other parts of the system not functioning well... which means that the knock on effect is that little bits of all the endocrine system play up.... and causing a raft of symptoms which don't quite fit into any category... and often the blood tests don't quite match one specific problem in one specific area!! |
