I'm with you David (again). There are a few people that are so thoroughly dislikable (to me) that I on't think I'd want to be in the same county as them let alone the same room. Not many though, on the whole most people here are lovely. Even Shelli. |

Well I'll try and be gentle with you Dan when the time comes for letting you down:) That's exactly how I feel Paul. It's not neccessarily views that have made people abhorrent to me (blimey me & Roxanne have disagreed vvvvvery strongly a few times but I think she's so cool lol) but a way of expressing them or an obvious display of hypocrisy or something. Shelli's quite bearable ain't she lol Talking of whom - Shelli!!!! I soooo bear grudges even tho I try not to:)) |

I think that I always try to think the best of people, I treat people as my friends. This weekend, I have been proved wrong, people I thought were my friends, have proved otherwise. Hey Ho, thats life, their loss not mine. June xx |

Dave, I don't blame you for not being sure of me. I tend to see things from a different perspective to most people, and I'm not afraid to say so - so I probably don't fit with most people's expectations. Most people don't care for such candour and it scares them off. I regard that as their problem, not mine. The circumstances of my childhood and upbringing have played a large part in how I learned to view the world and other people, but one thing I have learned time and time again is that nobody's perfect - and most people tend to think of themselves as being different from how I see them. I'm very critical and don't tolerate being misled or let down, so if I befriend someone and they do either of those things, depending on the importance of what they've done, I'll either put distance between us or cut them loose completely. I'm not very sociable, and few people really mean a lot to me, but I'd rather have very few really good, reliable, trustworthy friends than an army of acquaintances I don't know well or can't trust. As for 'First Impressions', I don't see how it's possible to form a true impression of a person from conversing with them on a website, although it is tempting to build a picture of someone based on what they post. There are some people I know from this Board, PMs and phone conversations who I think I'd get on with very well if I met them. Equally there are others who I know I would never want to meet. There are some I have met who I'd like to get to know better because they're funny and/or I find them interesting. Others I've met, I wouldn't worry if I never saw or heard from them again, but I give everyone the 'benefit of the doubt' at first. You've never done anything to rattle my cage, and that incident you're referring to - I thought it was quite funny because you'd obviousy got completely the wrong end of the stick! Once I explained, everything was fine. so let's keep it that way. CB >|< X |

Are you saying I'm not mature enough to see such a film?! I'll have you know I put the subtitles on even when they're speaking English. How about that! |

OMG David even more worried now!!! CB you are so right i do build a picutre of the person based on what they type, and what they type will never give a true picture of that person, as you can never get everything into a typed piece of work... you need facial expressions, tone of voice, etc to complete the scene |
