I don't care what the cookbooks say!! Raisins/Sultana's don't belong in a curry they belong in cakes!! :O)

You know what, I can't think of one unusual thing that I do/have Gotta disagree with Diana though... Sultanas are quite common and 'normal' in curries (and quite nice too lol). Sharon used to have mint sauce on chicken. strange ! Mint sauce is for lamb, and lamb alone !!

My hubby and I like fried banana, mushrooms and Heinz chili sauce wrapped in an omelette. Me thinks that's what I'd like for dinner tonight.

I always put fruit in with my salad and the kids love it - grapes, melon slices and orange segments in the same bowl as cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce etc. I can't eat fishfingers without salad cream. And feta cheese has to have mayonnaise along with red onion rings. Angela

Well this is all very wierd and has put me off dinner this evening ! By the way, currants, raisins etc., HAVE to be in curry - even the take-aways do it, apart from it being in most recipe books. As for them being only for cakes well ........... somewhere I saw a thread about carrots in cake !!! Zoe - You must have terrible time booking your holidays and checking out whether they have blue bowls for brekkers ! Apart from this I have nothing strange to add .... will have sleepless night squirming at the idea of banana in curry - Wow, how to spoil a curry.
