Joy, Was thinking of something more exotic.. My name is part of my maiden name.. I use it as my tribute to a man I greatly admired but was and is still a mystery.. Grayx

Ann, You can call me Lunar, most people here do. I only added the Lady again to tease the boys as they were calling me lady erlier in the week. Lady will be gone again before long I expect. LT

AnninGlos Report 5 Mar 2006 21:01

Lady Lunar, as you use the prefix 'Lady' I assume youa re female. I can address you then as Lady Lunar and that 'feels' like a first name, so no i don't feel you need to change. Ann Glos

Lots of interesting, friendly replies, Dee. :-) Not everyone would have known that the Wicked Witch of the West was you. There is another Wicked Witch posting on the tips board. :-)

Jen, if you were near Calais, it could have been north France and belgium (there only a few miles apart.) I hope you got that infection diagnosed and treated. LT Dee, I know that dictionaries tend to refer to witches as female as do the history books but it will still always be a description like Doctor, Dentist and Teacher.

Unknown Report 5 Mar 2006 20:53

Lunar, it is , according to the Chambers Dictionary, most often used to refer to a female I have been known to post as a witch, but not on threads that are of a serious nature ;-))

James, I had that too. My grandfathers cousin had used her husband email address and my aunt does the same. Drives me up the wall but I'm use to it now.

Rachel Report 5 Mar 2006 20:49

Will this do Jen? Which Tournai did you see signs for? I knoe of 3, noth France near Lille, South France and Belgium. Witch is an asexual term it describes the person not the gender. LT

Unknown

Unknown Report 5 Mar 2006 20:47

Lemon, I have always thought of you as female, as to me Nelly is female ;-))

What slightly more worrying, if you get a E.mail back and you thought you were talking with a women and it has a male name, but fortunately she said it was her husband e.mail address, james
