My mum had a brain tumour 10 years ago and had to have major surgery! They told her all the gory details of what could happen when she had the operation but apart from a slight numbness on her forehead she has been fine!! mind you she did look as though she had done ten rounds with Mike Tyson..... I really hope that your daughter will be okay and my thoughts are with her! Bev x |

It is sometimes easier to ask for and to receive support and care from people one may never meet. Thinking of you and all your family, and sending positive thoughts. Joy |

Good Morning Lynne, I know how devastated you must feel. There are no words at the moment that will help. I will be thinking of your daughter, you and the rest of the family and I hope the operation goes well and your worse fears are unfounded. (((HUGS))) Jean x. |

Lynne So sorry to hear your news. Hope the outcome is good news. At least she is being operated on quickly - not giving the tumour to grow. As far as medicine is concerned 8 years is a long time for progress. Last year I was diagnosed with a genetic skin cancer (I'm 38) Five years ago the treatment they were using on this cancer made it worse. Now it has a normal lifetime expectancy . I'm sure they have looked into tumour a lot in that time too & how to deal with it. Hoping for a peaceful time for your whole family. Penny |
