Persuaded dearly beloved that as we need to be in Pickering Sat night we should stop in York for FH fair. As he has no interest in family history, other than it keeps me quiet, am I going to regret dragging him along? Or do the organisers supply a partners creche? See you Saturday. |

Regarding the name badges. I've printed off about 30 self adhesive labels so when you come into the fair turn left then right and we will be in the left corner with the back of our stall next to the canteen. Ron www.genealogyprinters*com |

Hi All From York Railway station to Knavesmire Road/Campleshon Road is approx 1.5 miles. There is a bus every half hour ish! that will take us onto Bishopthorpe Road and then walk across to Knavesmire ( 5 mins ) or a bus that will drop us off on Tadcaster road and then we would walk over the Knavesmire ( 5 mins ish )depends if you want to walk over the grass to get to the Grandstand.Ages since I have walked from the station to Knavemire but it takes 30 mins ish. There are plenty of Parking spaces at The Race Course too. Hope that helps Jan |

Ron........that would be brilliant. Thankyou. I do know most of the peeps, but I might forget their names after a few voddies! LOL Patricia.....I'll ask Jan in York to come and post regarding the distance from the station. She was going to find out which buses went to the Knavesmire. However you decide to get there, we could give you one of our mobile numbers so you can keep in touch if you want |

At the Maidstone meet we took along about 20 3 x 1 inch self adhesive sticky labels with the GR logo printed on them, as GR members 'checked in' at our stall we wrote their name on in felt tip pen. It was quite useful as you could recognise each other as you walked about the fair and you didn't have to remember a couple of dozen names when you were altogether in the pub, we ran out of them by 11 o'clock. Willing to do the same again if you like but we'll print a few more this time. Ron www.genealogyprinters*com |
