Verses from last week - 15th October. Theme: Forgive / Forgiven SUNDAY: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Ephesians 4 v 32 King James Version MONDAY: Our Father in heaven; may your holy name be honoured; may your kingdom come; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need. Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us......... Matthew 6 v 9 -12 Good News Bible TUESDAY: If you (Lord) kept a record of our sins, who could escape being condemned? But you forgive us, so that we should stand in awe of you. Psalm 130 v 3 - 4 WEDNESDAY: Then the Lord appeared to Solomon and said.......... if my people, who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7 v 14 THURSDAY: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and there is no truth in us. Jesus heals a paralysed man. (Jesus said to the Pharisees): is it easier to say ''your sins are forgiven' or to say 'get up and walk?' I will prove to you then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. So he said to the paralysed man, 'get up, pick up your bed, and go home!' The man got up and went home. Last week's verses. Theme: Eye / Eyes SUNDAY: ...no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, neither has the human heart thought of what (wonderful things) God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2 v 9 RSV MONDAY: The eyes are like a lamp for the body. If your eyes are sound, your whole body will be full of light. Matthew 6 v 22 Good News Bible. TUESDAY: I will instruct you (says the Lord) and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32 v 8 RSV WEDNESDAY: Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own? Or, how can you say to your brother, 'let me take the speck out of your eye', when there is a log in your own eye? You hypocrite. First take the log out of your own eye and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Matthew 7 v 3 - 8 THURSDAY: For the ways of man are directly before the eyes of the Lord, and he carefully weighs all man's goings. Proverbs 5 v 21 FRI / SAT: Lo! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him - even those who pierced Him. And all the people of the earth shall gaze upon Him. Even so. Amen. Revelation 1 v 7

Teaching about Judging others: Why quibble about the speck in someone else's eye - his little fault - when a (whole) board is in your own? How can you think of saying to him, 'Brother, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the board in yours? Hypocrite! First get rid of the board, and then perhaps you can see well enough to deal with his speck! Luke 6 v 41 - 42
