isn't it ironic that there are people here saying the oards aren't fun anymore, when the 'new' people seem to think we're all killjoys and that they're the ones who want to have fun...

Hi jeanette, wondered what thread you were talking about when I read your message on mine. Now I know - sorry. Yes, sounds like all us good people have had enough of the low mentality of some people on here and are ready to stand up and be counted.

By the way, I ''opened a bar'' yesterday evening, but very few added - would that have been, maybe, because people felt wary about adding anything anywhere? It was at the same time as ''other'' threads. I was trying to lighten the atmosphere.

Okaaaay - perhaps we can resolve not to rise to their very obvious bait by a) not adding to contentious threads and b) ignore the posts that are plainly out to disrupt other people's threads and carry on with whatever the topic was supposed to be over and around those posts. That's not to say that there can't be some banter but I mean those posts that have clearly been premeditated and planned to annoy. We are not stupid, we can see what they are out to do. Perhaps then they will tire of their games because that is all they are. Mags xx

I also agree with everything that's been said. Board has been pathetic due to squabbles and bitchiness(can I say that?) I love to join in the quizzes etc. and sometimes it is just nice to read the threads and learn about others' lives in a friendly way. I've been a member for three years and it took me a while to post a message. It would be a shame if we lost our Gen.Topics board. Love and Peace Mau XXX

We all have different opinions and senses of humour, but it's the way we put things across that counts. Most of you who have replied on this thread will know me fairly well, and know that I can be extremely outspoken and make sure I get my point across (and I know my own faults lol!). BUT I don't harbour grudges, once I've had my say that's it, and if I'm in the wrong then I will be big enough to admit it in public. There are lots of people on here who I simply 'agree to disagree' with - and surely that's the way it should be? I'm not suggesting for one minute that we form any sort of 'clique' just because we are all in agreement on this point, but it would be nice if we all agreed to support and add to each other's threads; not to necessarily all agree because that would be a terribly boring thread, but to provoke interesting discussion and to have some good, fairly clean (!) fun with no personal nastiness. Mandy :)
