Mine's is Rag Dolly Anna......a not so well rememberd kids programme from the early 80's and i used to love it!! Here are the song words....last verse is scarily apt!!! :-)))) We've got a dolly that's made of stuff, Filled with feathers and bits of fluff; Eyes she has, and stocking feet, And a shawl to keep her shoulder's neat. This rag dolly is fine and brown; She can't stand up and she won't sit down. This rag dolly is fine and fat, with a bunch of paper roses in her big straw hat.

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 14 May 2006 13:52

Hiya Jayne, Maz is my nickname (short for Marion) and I live in Walthamstow, east London, so Maz in the East End. The numbers at the end of mine and a few others are our membership numbers - I like to show off 'cos mine is under 10,000!! Did you know that there is a 'meet' in Maidstone next Sunday - there is a family history fair, then some of us members will have lunch at Old Orleans. You would be more than welcome! Just put 'maidstone' in the board search box and you will find the thread :-)) Maz. XX

I was Grampa Jim because that's what my Exeter g/kids call me. I have changed it recently for 2 reasons. Firstly because I don't want to become typecast as an old fogey, and secondly because none of my ancestors so far (and I am well back on several lines) were born outside England so I feel an affinity with, and probably am descended from, the original inhabitants.
