If you look at most names on this board they are nearly all anonymous,they may not be to close site friends,but i cant see the difference....there is an obsession with a few members wanting to know every personal detail-on every forum Im on ,and there are 3 others,with thousands of members,about 1% use their real name,most have a nickname..........just take a look at the BBC family history message boards-they actually term it nickname when you join.........changing your name to cause trouble is a totally different issue,,just having a nickname on a forum is a very normal thing to do........Ive never met anyone personally on this site,and probably never will,and that is the case of the majority of people who use this site,yet again a few people who use general as their social life unable to realise that most people on genes arent even on the boards and are here for genealogy instead of mindless pap .

My Lord, are you lot STILL at it... I have been away (again) being very poorly (Again), And here we are.. Still arguing and gossiping, and fighting and witch hunting and stirring and.... etc etc... Do shut up the lot of you...!!! I nearly died (shouldnt really say that but hey), people we love and cherish are dying and are in pain all around us, there is war, poverty and acts of atrocity all over the world... My way of looking at it is------- I don't care if your Old, New, Tall, Short,Thin, Fat what ever you are.If People are nice and don't cause trouble thats good enough for me! At the end of the day do any of us really ' know ' each other? Very few I bet. So who ever you are Please just enjoy the boards and don't cause trouble and thats good enough for me! Christine x

I don't know why you are all responding. If this Batman person is offending you then don't satisfy them with a response. Just ignore them. I don't know who you are or particularly care! If you just join in threads in a normal way rather than declaring you are an Ex-member you could just get on with everyone rather than causing animosity. Its all a bit playground mentality for my liking.

Hi Batman I've noticed on the boards there are a couple of 'ex members' that have come back under different names and who have started threads to say just that! all seems very confusing to me, but then it doesn't take much to confuse me lol Welcome back whoever you are! Annie

look what is the point in all this?! Why come on the boards and do this? Why come on at all if people arent gonna be able to talk to you comfortably, this just causes upset and worry and i really dont think there is any for it at all, theres alot more going on and this is really just sill! I dont want to cause offence to anyone i really dont but its so unnessesary (sp?) xx

Sorry Batman I dont know who you are at all. I know a lot of people have left through trouble on here, many have left through being a troublemaker on here, some have been banished by genes, some have been suspended...some driven away. so you could be one of many and until you tell us who you are, no one will trust you, and there will always be accusations regarding your identity Elaine x

My opinion - for what it's worth (and without any malice) is - if you have nothing to hide and did not cause any hassle as your former self - then you should have no problem in revealing your previous identity - or at least PM those whom you wish to know and tell them....... I for one would like to know if you are a former contact/board buddy :O)))

yes, but not the trouble part. I have walked into a war zone without a malicious bone in my body, I've not been nasty I have not caused any trouble, but it HAS all been directed at me

You are a new member because you only made your tree 11 days ago. So if you are not an new member then you are an old member who has just come back to stir up trouble.
