April Ashley was the first 'cross gender' person in England to have been reassigned. That was way back in the 60's My Uncle was born in 1879 |

I think he must have been because he married a lady who had already got a 6 year old child and then they went on to adopt another. He lived not a quarter of a mile away from us and when he died he left my Grandma, his sister, money which she in turn gave to me to buy a house. I can remember him well |
