Yes, end of October... I should be less busy after 23rd Sept - all the holidays are over by then, got a full timer off every week till then. Next hurdle after that is Christmas - everyone looks forward to it but we end up with half our staff off work! C'est la vie |

Woody, that would be great if you could get her to John O' Groats, I know Jilly was hoping for that too. It will be October I would think by the time she travels up the east coast and meets lots of lovely people. Sheila |

Well, I suppose I'm in the middle really so could pick up from someone on the East coast and then deliver to the West coast. Maybe if I passed her on to Jane in Ft Augustus then on to Polly and RDA? We'll see as time goes on, might be better for her to go to them first and then I pick up from them. No problem anyway, we'll all get there and do our best. Do you have anything I can pass on to the newspaper? Thought I had it sorted but the lady I know is still on holiday so I'm going to leave it till she's back on Monday. They suggested I speak to the News desk and they would do a story but would rather give them a story than trust them to write it!! John O'Groats is a fair way but can be done. It would then mean she reached what most think is the most northernly point, maybe we could get her to Dunnett Head as well. |

Woody.....if it's any use to you I can do a Skye 'pick up' or 'drop off'......use my entitlement pass for the ferries never use it normally unless I pick up my gran from Uig on her way here.............might as well use hubby's perks of the job for a good reason,eh?? Let me know if that is any use to you............it may not be but the offer's there!!! RDA.x. |

Aye, good idea, RDA.. I can visit my mum and take her down to Sleat again. That's where my stepfather was from. She would actually like a trip to Lettermorar again but I asked once in Mallaig about trips across the Loch but no-one does them anymore. Can't be anyone at Meoble either, I suppose. |

There was a factor type person and his wife at Meoble last year.........will ask about for you and get back to you on it!!! The only reason I know there were people there was because they had just moved up and my mate owns like a hardware/gift shop and they were needing bits and pieces for their new move and they were shopping there whilst I was helping my mate out and it was also part of the conversation about the huge heath fire that nearly caught the house they were barely in!!!!!! We can work out the logistics on transferring her ladyship(GB!)nearer the time but just let me know what suits you and I'll work round you ok?? :-) RDA.x. |

Hi everyone great to see all this planning. Have just caught up with all your posts. It would be absolutley tremendous if GB could get to John O'Groats, especially as she managed to get to Land's End after all. Re New York. This is not until the first week in November. My eldest Daughter and her best friend who were at the Geordie meet and the very start of the relay, are going and asked if they could take GB with them thinking the relay would be finished. We all know what thought did Lol. If it is possible for me to have GB back by the third week in October that would be good. If not fair enough. I still intend there to be a meet up in Tynemouth when GB gets back to Tynemouth. I also still plan to have a more central meet up in the Midlands to celebrate the end of GB's tour of the UK. As soon as the summer is over I shall be concentrating on getting The Official Gaynor Bear Relay Calender for 2007 sorted. I intend having a vote on the very best twelve photographs taken during the relay. Keep up the good work Scotland. Jenny xx |

RDA at lot of these things were suggested, I did the mini GB's that raised over £500 but there were so many members trying to raise pennies for loads of different things. So I thought after the mini GB's I wud give it a rest. Will pm you in the morning and let you know what we have done so far and what my intentions are. Jenny xx |

Hi Jenny, I don't want to put a dampener on your plans for New York but is it a good idea in light of the current situation? I don't like to think of GB being stuffed in a suitcase, she has been treated like a small person for all these months! Or am I just being daft? Vivienne xx |

Hi Jenny handed gaynor over to Kate today, and will collect her again next week to go to Falkirk Wheel, then the Dunfermline meet and onwards and upwards to Polly XX She had the best seat in the house here with a remote control either side of her, and I was a good lemon and remembered to put her rain coat on today....even though I was coatless and in flip flops :-) |

Thanks for your posts. Just a little concerned that GB's antics are being posted on a separate thread. I dont want to appear as being petty, but I do feel a little upset. As far as the title goes GB is still with Lemon, unless I am told different I cannot alter it. Jenny xx |
