All I can suggest is ringing them again to ask what's happening and that you are worried. If they can't do something soon tell them you'll ring 999. You'll have to tell that service about what's happened all over again I suppose, but it's better than hanging around. Margaret |

Are you still there Malc and what do you feel like? Perhaps you should ring the NHS line back and give them a reminder. They will trace your first call, etc. Margaret |

I have to say I think NHS direct or Brightdoc as it's called in Brighton are fantastic and it doesn't make you think twice about calling them not like in the 'old' days (well about six years ago!) where you got your doctor out of bed. Carol |

what has happened to Malc, anyone know? I used NHS Direct when I had little 5 year old here and he developed earache. 1 am and he was crying with the pain, doctor was supposed to phone back and didn't, all they wanted to do was make me an apptmt. at the local drop in centre next day (Sunday). Useless! |

Yes Our Em, I was impressed with them - the ones in the North East area anyway. Don't know where Malc lives. They ask you all sorts over the phone to make sure they get the picture, then a doctor rang me within 20 minutes and he told me I had to go to A&E. Margaret |

Hi Malc. I hope everything is ok... I bought one of those 7 day pill organizers for my Mother in Law as she was always getting in a pickle. I sort out all her medication for the week in one go. It makes life a lot easier. If you are interested you can get them from any chemists. Well worth the £4 i paid.. Good Luck. Alyson |
