I have a son and grandsons and I can say that I would be disgusted if a teacher in authority took advantage with someone so young. It doesn't matter that he was willing. She was his teacher! He was a child. She took advantage. Its sick. I could not look at a 14 year old and want to bed him. I find it repulsive! Tricia - you're right. I was thinking that for sex to have taken place the boy's body had to be willing but whether or not the boy was capable of being willing mentally, he was still underage. I do find it odd that so many people on this board hold very strong opinions about paedophilia but quite a few people seem to think this is ok. This woman is a sex offender - an adult who's attracted sexually to a child - isn't that a paedophile?

I do see morals as a good thing. Maybe I'm just too strong-willed to just sit back and watch society crumble.

Well when my son is in the clutches of such a perverted education temptress, who's job description includes no such requirements, who overstepped the mark 10 times over, literally, and who's scruples vanished into thin air, how can she be sympathised with or condoned? A grown woman, who is meant to be teacher, a protector and guider of our children's upbringing, can take such abhorant steps and generate such compassion by certain members of this board I find truly shocking. The sentance given was appropiate, the majority of others are not. Let us pray that this case will turn the tide on left-wing, lenient judges and we start seeing some times that fit the crimes!

Daniel when I was 14 I had a lady teacher called Miss Ross, and I was of an age hormones all over the place , and when I used to talk to her I couldnt look her in the face I couldnt take my eyes off her breasts, She often used to say to me David address my face not my breasts lol!!! This subject is one very close to my heart as a similar thing happened to my daughter. She was 15 at the time that her affair with a teacher came to light. They jailed him purely to make an example of him. If it had been a 17 year old boy having underage sex then I dont suppose anything would have been done about it
