I check on here a least once a day, if you keep posting it, does help that some one knows you are quiting the cigarettes then you have less temptation to go back, we have a thread on XGR as well. It can be found under Hugs And Support. James Green |

Hi guys... Am on my 5th day, not tempted to have a fag at all, but just feel there's something missing.... Just been to Dr's tho as my chest hurts, he said its quite normal to have problems on giving up but also said I may have heartburn/indegestion....... Worked out I'll be saving about £30 per week, so have bought myself a cross trainer to help get in shape... :)xx |

Hi Rach X, You must be feeling the benefits better skin, clean hair, not smelling of smoke, better breathing. It is not until you stop and you can smell the stink of a smoker and think I smelt like that. James |

Hi Rach X ,not such a good friend if they encouraged you to smoke. That is the trouble with alcohol, it lowers your guard and Nic o'tine breaks through. still it is good that you did not continue, because once you start then 'I just have one more' and you are back to a full pack before you know it. Hi Margaret I hope I have spelt it right only it looks like a 'q' in there!! You can always reduce weight but you cannot replace lungs very easily, but your breathing must be better, you do not smell of cigarettes, you will be around for your children a lot longer just a few reasons, it will not be long before the year is up Debs glad to hear you are alright, I am regularly doing 4 turns of the block twice a day about 5 Km, I have a stopwatch and a pedometer to record the time and No. steps it also gives calories used and distance walked, the pavements are no very smooth so you have to be careful. I am also recording the results in a spreadsheet and it is easy to see if I am slacking!! James |
