Been racking my brains too on this one Merry. Ester Phillips, Della Reese, Barbara Lewis. I can see the person you mean,big lady,big personality,big voice. Yes she was like Rusty Lee,with her laugh. Very short,grey hair,bulgy eyes. Great Voice. Exactly as you described. Will be thinking of this one all day |

Rosi......I hadn't thought of them before, but I can't see anything that says either has died........sooooo frustrating trying to find photos! (I think they might have been a bit too young as well?) I can see this woman's face as clear as if it was yesterday! Very short cropped (No 1) white affro hair Bulgy eyes great big mouth - red lippy never stopped laughing (very loudly!) held hands with wimpy young hubby all the time gold lamé dress Chunky hands with great long false nails and masses of jewellery She was just sooooo full of life - I was captivated (not enough to get her name!) I suppose she sang something too, but needless to say, i don't remember that part!! Merry |
