Yes, you were Sally.......Trouble was I knew I wasn't going to be able to be ''reminded'' of her name......It was going to take more.......!!!! Fancy she died in 1991. Obviously something wrong in my brain as I can see myself watching her on a talk show with her new hubby (so 1990) sitting on the sofa we bought in 1994! lol Wasn't a repeat, so I am on the wrong sofa in the wrong room.........Now I see how cross we can get when our elderly relations don't tell us correct facts about our families!! lol Merry |

Hi Merry, so pleased for you!!!! for you and anyone else who is interested re pictures of anyone or anything, if you go into google and then images and type in what or who you want it will give you pictures (kids have their uses!!) Oh well back to the research!!! Fuzz x |

Yes, there she is kaftan and all - she was really bubbly wasn't she, bags of personality........I seem to remember her having a heart attack, but perhaps I am wrong........shame anyway. |

Sally - yes, I think you are right. Good job I didn't just come across her name randomly, because some of the photos where she is a lot younger, I might not have recognised her! Merry |

I haven't seen any younger photos of her Merry, I only remember her as you do, and your portrait of her was good that I recognised who you were talking about immediately, but like you, not the name. I have tried googling to find out how she died and a bit about her life, but no luck - not that good with computers. I remember her singing on GMTV - and someone said about her singing with a weathergirl, and Raining Men - I think that happened on that show......I seem to remember something about it.......lovely voice.... |

Just popped on here to see if youd sorted it, thank gawd, Ive been driving hubby mad over dinner - I knew it was a variation on Bernice, I could SEE her but I just couldnt think of her name. I was going to see if youd found her and then trawl the net for Michael Parkinson shows in the 90's! Well done peeps. Ill give you another one like this tomorrow. |
