Well, I don't remember a great deal! lol Female Dead (about 5-10 years ago) American (I think) Either soul or jazz singer Black Died in her 50's, unexpectedly (well, unexpectedly to me) Short Plump Very, very short grey/white hair Fantastic laughing personality Lots of rings and fancy finger nails Was on Parkinson or similar, a short while before her death Had a toy-boy husband of about 20-odd who appeared with her So.....who was she...????? Name probably won't mean much (lol) so I will need to see a picture to confirm!!! LOL Hubby would be very glad to see me put out of my misery! lol Merry xxx |

Ella Fitzgerald is hubby's stock answer, but my lady died after 1994, as I remember sitting in my lounge (here) on New Year's Eve and seeing one of those ''who died this year'' lists with her on.....and I was shocked because she had been so ''larger than life''.....We moved here in 1994........... Blondie! lol Nina Simone - Nope.....died too recently (I love her) I wonder if the problem is that this lady maybe wasn't that famous, but had done something like sung the latest theme for a James Bond movie, or similar and so did the ''rounds'' of all the talk shows? Merry |

Rosi......I hadn't thought of them before, but I can't see anything that says either has died........sooooo frustrating trying to find photos! (I think they might have been a bit too young as well?) I can see this woman's face as clear as if it was yesterday! Very short cropped (No 1) white affro hair Bulgy eyes great big mouth - red lippy never stopped laughing (very loudly!) held hands with wimpy young hubby all the time gold lamé dress Chunky hands with great long false nails and masses of jewellery She was just sooooo full of life - I was captivated (not enough to get her name!) I suppose she sang something too, but needless to say, i don't remember that part!! Merry |
