Good Morning all :-))) The sun is shining ... but there is a slight breeze which is spoiling it a little .... but after the weather we've had for the last 2 weeks I'm NOT complaining ! Maybe we can now have the 40* that we were promised for August !! (don't hold ya breath!) Hope your all sufficiently topped up on the tan ..... Jeanette and Bec's, can't wait to see you back on the boards :-)))))) Tuesday ???? me thinks so :-)) Strump - keep up your brilliant work on your own site. Will be happy to see you back amongst us, but I think you are doing a very very important job and doing it admirably :-) Lynda, don't suppose your doing maintenance work on your yatch ... so maybe your topping up the tan somewhere in the middle of the ocean ! plenty of sun screen I think ! Fitz .... you must have landed back home now .... so make contact with base please ! Thinking of you ALL :-) Elaine ;-)) Elaine ;-))) |

Caz, It is a very long story but will try and cut it short. My husband was a refugee from the old Lourenço Marques in Mozambique now called Maputo. He managed to escape with his car and what he could fit in it and crossed over the South African border.. I met him after he had been there three years. When things started looking real bleak in South Africa he said that he has seen the signs before and that we are going to Portugal. The first four years we lived in the village where his parents family are from and I was very unhappy, cold and rainy all the time and not accepted. So we immigrated to Canada and lasted four years because he was unhappy, so we compromised and decided on the Algarve, where we are very happy... Lindy ;-)))))))))) |

Hello there ladies, I had the most wonderful experience this afternoon!. To cut a very long story short, we have new neighbors that moved into the ruin next door to us, that they renovated a couple of months ago. The young couple have a twenty two month old little girl and the wife was pregnant with their second daughter. Not accustomed to hearing young children in our neighborhood, every time young Sofia shrieked, hubby and I would run to our kitchen veranda, which over looks their property, to see if she had hurt herself...lol... Just a very active young madam... Well, the new arrival was born two weeks early, ( last Saturday ) which we knew nothing about... This afternoon my neighbor called me from her balcony and asked me if I would like to see her new arrival. I have never in my life held something so tiny and precious, she weighs just over two kilos and is beautiful... I have had cats bigger and heavier... Little Sarah took my breath away and I actually felt a physical pain in my heart. Her little fingers and toes are perfect. I am beyond the age of bearing a child but never knew that the maternal feeling never goes away... Sorry that this is so long.....just had to share! Lindy ;-)))))))))))) |
