My family search is all Yorkshire (apart from Ireland lol), my Grandad and way back are all Yorkshire x

Stella, Went camping to Great Yarmouth when kids were young. There was like a canal with some ducks on it and canal boats. I also remember a market there too. LL

Hi Tracey, Middlesborough!!!! whats that place called with like a pier? me hubby sons and hubby's mates we used to go fishing for Mackeral up there......Redcar....Thats it!!! LL

L.L. O.H comes from Roundhay. I grew up in Swarcliffe, not anywhere near as posh! Scholes village was about a mile across the fields, it was a nice place to grow up, going back with number 2 daughter to spend some time with my mum this summer she lives near the Coal road. Barbara..xx

Ahh yes, Redcar. Only a few miles from where I live. If we ever fancy fish & chips, or an ice-cream we go over there :) I was born much further south though - slap bang in the middle of Huddersfield, Leeds, Halifax and Bradford.

LL. The market at Gt Yarmouth is still there - have lovely chips !! The 'canal' you're talking about isn't a canal, but part of the Norfolk Broads. Personally, I prefer Lowestoft - less commercialized. Stella

Hi Liz, Don't know why but I have always got Halifax and Huddersfield mixed up. Let me think.....Halifax? Piece Hall....Am I correct also has a small carboot sale on a Sunday quite close to Piece hall and....EUREKA!!!!!? LL

Hi LL That's right, the piece hall has a market on a Saturday and has a lot of shops on the Balcony, the car boot sales or on Sunday morning, don't know long for as they are supposed to be going to build a bowling club,cinema and shops on the site. Liz.

Liz, peice hall is where I descovered I HAD sold some valuable Elvis LP's at a car boot sale some time earlier for £3 each.....Piece hall were selling same one or two for abt 20- 30 odd £ each :( ah well!!). LL
