Anyone know of a MAURICE COOK(E) last known address I think was Nottingham altho he has probably died by now, would be around 96 if still alive. Did live in a caravan on a farm at Looe in Cornwall, and came from Bucks orginally I think, worked at the Brickmaking factory near Bletchley before joining the Royal Bucks regiment?

Hubby has asked me if I would add his best friend when he was young. His name is GEOFREY GANE and he was born in Nottingham, end of January 1938. This would make him 68 now. The last that was heard of him was in about 1963/64, when he was in Plymouth working at the Naval Dockyards. He is believed to have lived in the St Judes area of Plymouth at that time. In the past we have tried contacting various G. Gane's that we found in the phone book but to no avail, so hubby's only hope now is if someone recognises the details. Thanks - Chrissie

Can I make a suggestion please Granny? It would be really helpful, especially now the thread is getting so long, if people could put the people they are looking for in BLOCK CAPITALS, so that the names stand out. It's a lot to look through if you haven't seen the thread from the beginning. Chrissie x

I know a Peter Beckley - did T. Beckley have a brother? What is the point of me asking these questions if people don't read the thread again.

Great thread. Does anyone have a T BECKLEY in their tree? Have PMd a few people who have most of them replied but one person still hasn't so no luck there, also no luck on the trying to find board. He was stationed in Woking Surrey in the army in 1949. Haven't got a lot of info about him. Having so little details any ideas of how else to trace him would be gratefully recieved. Thanks

Hi Everyone I am trying to find a Mrs. V.M. Thompson - she put a photo of Cecil Augustus Bentley Stringer - my great uncle and hers too - on the HMS Hood site. I have left a message on Hoods site and although it has been looked at 300 plus times no reply received. Then I remembered this thread and just wondered if anyone can help me.......................here's hoping and waiting. Thanks Mary

Have p'md a few people with information. Hope I was of assistance. Just want to nudge this as it is a great way to contact people who aren't showing on Friends Reunited. I notice a lot of people are not giving any years as an indication as to when they were last in touch with those who they are seeking. As I have electoral roll information back to 1992 I may be able to help in earlier years.
