Only thing I can think of is that someone I knew, but not all that well, had a tragic accident and died when she was just 17 - she was very close to a few of my close friends. Kaye x |

Quite possibly, but I don't know for sure. Certainly my Mum has lost friends during her life - especially as she's so connected with the Chruch. Kaye x |

Yes - a close friend has a daughter called 'Amy' - she's about 12. My Mum had a very close friend who I also think had a daughter called Amy. It's really hard, because my Mum has know so many people through the church and we've had so many people in our house that I can't remember half of them - she's moved around a little bit and had very close friends in all the places she's lived. Yeah I do like some of their stuff - didn't they do 'Elouise'? Reminds me of when I was about 15. lol Kaye x |

It was the song Eloise that I was thinking of. Do you like Bon Jovi as well? |

Did you make a bad career choice when you were 15? I feel you should have gone for the writing but you went for something else like working in a shop??? |
Phoenix | Report | 16 Jul 2006 21:59 |
Yeah - made loads actually. lol Did work in a Craft shop for one day, also worked in a Garden Centre which was very shop-like for about a month, worked in Personnel in Pirelli for about 3 months...I could go on. lol But I have always liked Writing so that fits. Kaye x |

Have you tried automatic writing or inspired writing? |
Phoenix | Report | 16 Jul 2006 22:03 |
I did sort of try automatic writing once when I was watching Most Haunted Live a year or two ago - came up with a name. But no not really tried it properly - something I find interesting though and would like to try. Been getting into the whole Spiritual thing recently - lots of things going on that seem to be prodding me in that sort of direction. Hubby thinks I'm going mad though. Kaye x |

Well I think I've got your gran here now. She wants you to ask her how to go on with your writing. Just sit with a piece of paper and a pencil and ask her for help and let it flow. I keep getting 'course' and 'november next year.' its something like magazine editing. You are capable of editing mags that would interest you like spiritual or genealogy. Are you any good at proof reading? A good speller? Have you got A level English? |
Phoenix | Report | 16 Jul 2006 22:13 |
I must admit I would like to do something like that. I don't have A'Level English but I am pretty good at it - did consider it as part of Humanities degree with OU - pretty good speller (most of the time). Basically English has always been my best subject. I will do what she suggested and let you know how I get on. If it is my Gran then I would take her advice in a heartbeat - she was always good at advice. Thanks Louise - I've been wanting to hear from her for a long time. It's typical that she should come along when I've got a bath waiting though. lol Kaye x |
