I thought Ping Pong was a pantomime character ? '' ...based on Margaret Landon's 1944 novel, Anna and the King of Siam (which, in turn, was based on real-life reminiscences). In 1862, Anna Leonowens, an independent-minded English school teacher, arrives in Bangkok to educate King Mongkut's small army of royal children. ...''

Jen, Maybe it was the Theatre Royal, I misremember... In any case, I was referring to the early eighties, so we must have missed each other lol, Liz

Errol, Only in that you get to take part, but really the Vicky Hall in Hanley used to let all sorts of riff raff in, and the last time I went (20 years ago granted) the show was cancelled aftewr 15 minutes due to the audience messing about. As a student nurse, I could not really afford show tickets so it was a great disappointment... Liz

Btw, hello Errol, I thought you might be here these last few nights lol. I must add I have seen Rocky Horror a few times (and used to be able to fit into the outfit lol), but prefer the Picture Show. I treated myself to the DVD recently, but the kids just don't get it... Liz x

ARTHUR: It's true! It's true! The crown has made it clear. The climate must be perfect all the year. A law was made a distant moon ago here: July and August cannot be too hot. And there's a legal limit to the snow here In Camelot. The winter is forbidden till December And exits March the second on the dot. By order, summer lingers through September In Camelot. Camelot! Camelot! I know it sounds a bit bizarre, But in Camelot, Camelot That's how conditions are. The rain may never fall till after sundown. By eight, the morning fog must disappear. In short, there's simply not A more congenial spot For happily-ever-aftering than here In Camelot. Camelot! Camelot! I know it gives a person pause, But in Camelot, Camelot Those are the legal laws. The snow may never slush upon the hillside. By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear. In short, there's simply not A more congenial spot For happily-ever-aftering than here In Camelot.
