Hi Louise, Sorry to have missed your thread again. I have read through it and you mention the name 'Alannah'. Could this possibly have been 'Eleanor' but you heard it as 'Alannah'? I have an Eleanor. I'll log on tomorrow. Thanks, Janet

When my Dad was in hospital, my grandaughter visited him, and called him lazybones because he was in his pyjamas during the day. She still refers to him as lazybones although she was only 2 when he died and is 6years old now.

Well your message is 'think of your own needs. He blew his chance. You've helped him long enough. As long as he is safe there is nothing else you should do. There is someone who should help him out and its not you. You've got your own life to lead.'

Spot on! He has the ability to make everyone feel sorry for him, but is totally insensitive to everyone else! (sorry, had to go to the loo!)

I feel he is almost childlike and cannot cope but he has great intelligence like an absent minded professor.
