Weelll! 1. Firstly, there's a lot of females. So if you're a bloke you're a bit out. But we must persist, and I do! And get ignored my fair share! 2. Secondly, there is a core of people who seem to be on the board all day long and obviously strike up a 'relationship' with each other, and can SEEM to ignore newcomers, perhaps unintentionally. 3. Thirdly, there are the groups who have met 'in the flesh', and have a personal relationship with each other. I think progressing from 1. to 3. is the most difficult. And I'm not on the pull! |

Oh just post Claire and see what happens, sometimes you'll be noticed, sometimes you won't and sometimes you'll wish they hadn't!!! lol They're all a friendly bunch but I'm still a bit unsure sometimes, take ages putting a post together and then deleting it all without adding to a thread! (more confidence needed!) So silly really...still 'Welcome' Nanna-M :) |

Claire Know how you feel and some of the other's when you put a thread up and no one ot not many reply, then i give up for a while and try again,so I am one of the 'out' crowd too. |

When I first used these boards I thought there was an inner sanctum here......I have now realised that despite groups of people that correspond due to meets and personal intercourse, and common interests shared, there is no 'IN CROWD'-it is an ILLUSION, as is the the representation of the site by these boards themselves-just take a look at the success boards and you will see so many people who have had help on here who havent even appeared on tips or general.....just be yourself and someone will click with you,as in real life. |

ive been off puter for a couple of hours and what i left was a lovely thread giving someone encouragment when they needed it most. Ive come back and read through whole thread and im saddened by what some have added. At times we all need a gentle shoulder or a push in the right direction not needless upset. |

Well said Paul and Batman, for anyone at a bad point in their lives that was so insensitive, People who feel left out may have real, genuine reasons to feel that way. I so feel for Claire and am so glad SO many of you have been nice! You are a great bunch!!!! cazxxxx |

Not in the slightest bit bothered whether you or not you're the only person who thinks it. That was uncalled for. Obviously Claire is feeling upset about something, and comments like that don't really help do they? |

Not very polite Rebekah. clare, sorry you have felt like that. I have been a member for ages but my threads are lucky if they get more than 7 posts. it depends on the subject, on peoples' moods, on the weather, on what they had for dinner, whatever!. but i don't think there is really an 'in' crowd even though it seems that way. there have been rather a lot of meets lately, held and planned and with everyone taking about meeting people some of us can feel we are not part of the group if we don't go, but it just happens that way, nothing is meant by it. keep plodding on, put your replies on, post a few threads, enjoy yourself. Most people on here are lovely. Ann Glos |

Amusing, not amuzing. But seriously, Im not the only person to think that. Does it really warrant 3 pages of replies? |

Claire, I've been on the boards for just over a year. Sometimes people chat to me, sometimes not. I know how it makes you feel but it's not personal. Some people spend a lot of time on here so they get to read all the threads and know exactly what is going on. Also a lot of people have met up through 'meets' and become friends. Just keep butting in like I do and people will soon start to chat. all the best, Carol x |
