The Margaret could be my hubbys gran, who's (obviously) elderly. Philpott doesnt ring a bell, just checked on my tree too. But I'll make a note of it!! |

Ooh I love the Mansfield accent - it makes me so homesick. Yes, have been to Mansfield crem last Oct 2005, for my gran's funeral. Thats who I was hoping to contact! |

Would you understand the names Margaret and John? |

Have you been to Mansfield crematorium in the last year? This is funny. My mum's family are from Eastwood so I am thinking in a broad Mansfield accent lol |

I do have a school teacher ancestor, born in Newton, DERBYS. Not sure if this is near Heanor, as its a tiny place in South Derbys. |

thats sad, my grandad remarried quickly after my nana died, and mum had looked after the house and nana everyday for years after her stroke, he didnt say a word to mum about the remarriage, then one day his new wife got in touch and offered mum the gift back shed given her parents from her honeymoon in 1958, and mums veil was returned to her in a tiny box, screwed up, he(grandad) said he would use it as a table cloth, nasty pasty he was, all nanas secrets and treasures were spread all over the country to reli we never saw, so sad my brother discovered nana was illegal adoption from a lady in cardiff, 1914, but her names so common(the lady that is) its too tricky to find i understand how you d like to hear from the spirits, you should try asking them, thats what mediums say speak to um ask for their help |

I have photos, but thats it. Everything else was passed onto their son, whom I suspect scrapped what he couldn't sell. |
