Plenty of John's, but no Margarets. Not dead anyway. Hubby just texted back, car tyres ok...for now!

with names they don't have to be dead. Do you know the surname Philpott?

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:27

The Margaret could be my hubbys gran, who's (obviously) elderly. Philpott doesnt ring a bell, just checked on my tree too. But I'll make a note of it!!

Did grandma work in a shop? I can also see a policeman.

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:30

No policemen Im afraid. Yes she worked in a large store, was a trouble shooter.

I feel she was a bit confused towards the end of her life because the information isn't very clear also my right knee is itching so I should imagine she had problems with her knees.

Has someone around you been in trouble with the law?

Unknown

Unknown Report 11 Aug 2006 11:33

Is there a connection with Annesley Woodhouse?

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:35

Not sure about trouble with the law. My great great grandads life is a mystery, and he was from Annesley Woodhouse. My grandad had bad arthiritis in one of his knees.

This site has gone on a go slow.. Are you thinking of joining a gym?

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:40

I need to lose two stone lol. But I can't justify the cost of a gym at the min, especially as I'd have to pay to put my baby in a nursery while I went. I want to lose the weight tho.

I've got Rose. Don't know if its a name, someone's favourite flower.

Unknown Report 11 Aug 2006 11:43

Did granddad drive a sherman tank?

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:44

My gran and grandad were keen gardeners, I don't know what their favourite flower was tho. I don't recognise the name Rose, only in my husbands tree, quite far back. Not to worry tho!

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:45

No, he was a chef in the war as he had health probs. We did have more distant ancestors who were killed in WW1 tho...wouldnt know if they drove a Sherman tank.

I might be moving onto Janet then. I'm being shown an orange folder. I have no idea what that is about at all.

RStar

RStar Report 11 Aug 2006 11:50

That'd be so nice for you Julieanne. I dont think she's 'my' Rose. Sorry the orange folder doesnt ring a bell.
