Yes really pleased with his name but I suspect George features heavily on everyone's tree. At least my son should be easy to trace in years to come saddled with that lot! I like Laura Jane. Quite happy with that. As I was a child of the seventies my other options were Dawn or Nicole, or Graham if I was a boy! Pleased my parents landed me with the names I have. I know two other Laura's and both have Jane for a middle name so I am sure its a popular choice. Along with Tara Jane it seems!!

Michelle Report 25 Aug 2006 20:27

My middle name is Michelle and until four years ago when I had Morfydd added to my names, it was my first name, so a lot of people still call me Michelle. My old middle name is now my third name. I feel more comfortable with my first name now. M.

My sister is Carol Ann so that's another one she is 54. I hope she doesn't mind me telling that!! I am Laura Jane and my daugther is Tara Jane. She gets called TJ. My son is Ethan George Charles Perry. Had a row with hubby over his middle name when he was born and we settled on both to keep each other happy. My dad died before he was born and George was his middle name. After doing some reseach it turns out his dad was George and it goes back to 1806 so far. Really pleased I named him that now but didn't realise it was a family name at the time. My neice is Hannah Roxanne which is unusual but goes together really well I think x

I use my middle initial when initialling something (SAS), but at work when I initial something on the computer we can only use two letters so I use SU, because I don't like the alternative! Sue xx

Mine is also Ann - no 'E'. It was my paternal grandmother's middle name, but I wish I'd also been given her first name - Jessie - much more uncommon in my age group than Susan! My elder daughter has Jane and the younger one Louise, just because I liked them! Sons have David & Edward, again, just because I liked them. Sue xx
