Bet you were in a right mood today.. I can't get on to the photos, I saw them this morning but can't now.I used to be able to get it from favourites, now I get you have to be a member. Dan has messed about with it , now I can't get in... I'll mess with him when he gets back to Lemons...

Dan's just a typical hollow-legged teenager!!! He can come and stay at mine but he'll soon ask to be sent home again, believe me!! Fear not, Hayley - we're back (looking at that it looks more like a threat)!! And Steve, you could never be Billy No Mates!

I am exhausted, Polly! Got to bed at 5am (of course by time I got home I was too tired to sleep!!) but had to go into work after all. Worked from 9 till 3 and it was busy! I was on my own on griddle, others there but not griddle trained YET!!

The winters tend to be less severe now but there are still many such incidents. In Jan 2005 when we had the most horrendous gales (with a family all killed when their car was blown off the causeway and into the sea), the number of power cuts all over caused a state of emergency. Many areas were without power for over 2 weeks with engineers working flat out. If you are in a country area you have alternate cooking and heating and lighting facilities as standard! - oh yes and a very well stocked cupboard!

Just put them on the Harry Potter Stream train. No seats , full up, they will swear at me later... I didn't realise it was the steam train.. Well, boy, can that boy eat..! Last night went out. He has fish and chips PLUS another portion of chips ,all mine as well.. Breakfast ' not hungry, he said, Two sausages, five rashers of bacon and three eggs.. Had to redo the bacon, not crispy enough ! Well fuffed by now....THEN, he had a bowl of cornflakes, straight after..... Lunch..Scampi and chips with salady stuff, Plus, my salady stuff and McAnne's adn more chips... Lemon had haggis, she was safe, he wouldn't try that.. Am now going to lie in a darkened room.... Lindy, run away NOW ! ps. He took so many photos and lots of unflattering close up,mostly of himself.. Poor Lemon....She does suffer..They willl be back at Lemon's about 10pm and she is not cooking,so he puts on this puppy dog expression and bats his eyelashes and she melts.. Doesn't work with McAnne or me...

Hi Woody our friends used to live in Invergordon..they stocked up for at least three months,,had three freezers,and sacks of flour to make their own bread.we went to visit and half a mile further down the road the snow gates was shut,,and coming back it was snowing an we only just made it back to where we were staying .It can be very hard...

Panic not, Fred! I enlightened Anne on the delights of a Scottish winter!! I would never let anyone move up here without advising renting a place and lasting a winter! We discussed the need to stock the freezer - fine, till the power goes off!! All joking apart the area is so beautiful that I think the midgie was introduced just to ensure all was not 100% perfection, but we were lucky yesterday - not a midgie to be felt. I hope you accept that small token in the spirit it was intended, there's not that many we can talk 'midgie' with who understand!

Morning Fred :O) The Lemony one is still snoozing upstairs - as is the boy wonder (I think - altho did hear some creaking of floorboards just now lol) I am staying here - I is never coming home - just contact my folks and tell them to pack everything and send it all up with the cats for me pmsl Oh WOW - wow wow - what a fantastic place this is - breathing taking views - it's wonderful :O)))))))))))
