Keith Have you tried ryan air. (just recently started) Maybe the cheapest and quickest option Otherwise you can get a train to Wigan `North western, then a train to Edinburgh or haymarket and then another one to Aberdeen. I Also you can go via York but its even more expensive and longer! |

Keith You would have to check trainline I think to check it out but always check to see if you can catch a train at wigan. It doesn't always show up for some reason, I remember having to go to Warrington (I think) and then catch a train to Preston and then catch a train to Edinburgh and then one to Aberdeen. I was really annoyed when I found that the train from Warrington stopped at Wigan. It would have been easier just to go to Wigan, then catch the Edinburgh/Haymarket train and then catch the Aberdeen train. The train fare was so expensive so it may be better to book earlier or even to book single tickets to the individual stations. Apparently it said on a tv programme the other month that it is sometimes cheaper to do this than to pay for the full return journey, the train must stop at the station that you book for even if you don't get off there, I hope I haven't confused you. have you tried ryan air? |
