If you have a double barrelled surname, you gain a point. If you're a Smith, or a Jones. Then you're as common as muck. And LOSE a point. (No offence intended. lol)

Yes, I ask the same what do you mean by posh? Looked it up in the dictionary, first explanation; elegant or stylishy luxurious. When my youngest was about 4yrs we were in Brisbane City for the day, (this is almost 30yrs ago) and she said to me, ' mummy when I grow up I don't want to be elegant, I want to be just like you. There were a lot of quite nicely dressed ladies around at the time. I took it as a compliment, (I think) lol. Cheers Jill

Hmmm, what's the criteria?? How many surnames you have, how many houses you own? Were you born into it, or did you make your own money? How much money you owe, or how much money you earn? Whether you eat lunch and dinner, or dinner and tea? What sort of accent you speak with? What TV programmes you watch?? Hard to tell really, it's probably down to how others see you. Ummmm, so that'll make me a 10 then!!!!! LOL Karen x

That's interesting. People will always say that I sound posh when I speak. Though I wouldn't say I'm posh at all lol I'd put myself at 6 on the posh-o-meter lol :-)

Hi Paul Posh never, i remeber where i come from dont put no Airs 'N Graces on for no one, I am very professional in my work but still say it at it is very straight talker me, funny you should say that i spoke to someone the other day they said i sounded completly different from what they expected LOL comin from the north and that, said i sounded Posh northern LOL, Lilx

I would say i'm 6 or 7, i'm a grounded person from a working background, but i have high standards.
