Carol i saw on GMTV Fern said that the press media need to be careful they are not preceived as bullies , true yea she did not do herself any favours and did not appear to think of her kids at the time, but does not need to be hounded and singled out she has Kids who have no idea what has happend but it will effect then sad very sad , Lilxx

Has anyone else noticed that, since this Jade v Shilpa ‘thing’ kicked off, all news channels have become very multi-cultural? Newsnight, the other night, was a good example. Classism was rife!!! (Word not in dictionary but cannot think of another that expresses what was said about working class people in this country) Is there a possibility that by trying to show that everyone is not like that, that the ‘white’s’ are not being included in the equation? No-one should be victimised because of their colour, class or religion. It is human nature to want a scapegoat, but the subject of colour was first brought up in the house by Jerome Jackson, who said that he was so pleased to see Shilpa enter the house, as he was then not the only person of colour in the house. Jade & her family were victims of other housemates ‘verbal abuse’ (probably not the right phrase), called white trash, white trailer trash, etc. I am not saying that Jade is blameless, but wondering if everyone is trying to distance themselves, so not taking their own portion of blame in this racism/bullying. If Jade continues to be the only person blamed for the CBB row, is there not the chance that she is made into the person who is being bullied & treated racially, by the very people who claim to be against this behaviour.

Commenting on the lack of crowd noise, Jo said “Why is it so quiet?” “I know why” Jade replied. As she left the house Jade wasn’t surprised to find no crowd. She was visibly shocked and upset as Davina showed her clips of her behaviour in the house as well as the international news it had generated. “Seeing that video, I am disgusted in myself and hand on my heart I apologise. I can sincerely say that I’m not a racist”. On Day 16 Big Brother asked Shilpa about her conversation with Cleo, where she had stated that Jade’s actions towards her had been racially motivated. “I take that back. You know, people say things in a fit of anger” she said. Later in the diary room, Big Brother asked Jade to listen to what they were going to say very carefully before discussing the comments she had made about Shilpa. A serious Jade replied 'I don't judge people by their nationality or by their skin colour.” After leaving the diary room Jade asked to speak to Shilpa in the garden. Jade told Shilpa about calling her ‘Shilpa Poppodom’ and apologised “I was trying to think of an Indian name and I couldn't think of one” she said. “I don’t think that you’re a racist. But it did come across as kind of racial what you said even before that….. Sometimes you say things that you can't take back” Shilpa replied. Later on Jade was in tears in the diary room. “Shilpa doesn't think I'm a racist but people outside may think I am and I'm not'. She considered leaving the house before saying “If I quit, then there's more of a story to make out of it. I'm not gonna do that cos I'm not a racist and I'm gonna stand my ground”. Jade then told the other HMs what had been discussed in the diary room. 'I'm so, so scared. I've never been more scared in my life.” She said.
