A brilliant poem Ron, thanks my friend. Thanks also to Jacqui. Now then Ann, why don't you have a go, I'm sure you can knock a little verse or two up. You'll never know until you try. Love Jeff x

Oh Jeff what a great idea I take off my hat to you I might when feeling whimsical Add a line or two No where near your standard I really have to think In fact before I do another verse I need a little drink I love to read your answers all those words all in prose what it must be like I ask To rattle off some of those I'll try not to leave you Alone upon your tod but I'm afraid I'll have to warn you I can be rather odd My poems are sometimes lacking The gaiety to be found then sometimes all the humour comes out in leaps and bounds Now I have to leave you I wish you fond farewell but I really have to hurry some-ones leaning on my bell Jac xx

We are the circle of friends We meet on-line to have a great time.... We laugh and we giggle and smile at our screens, We sit back and wonder what this all means. We surf the Web, we travel afar, We span thousands of mile without a car. We watch conversations flowing on the screen, We tell jokes and stories and know what they mean. What are we looking for? Where's the attraction? How can we do this and get satisfaction? Who are we? Why are we here? We are 'the Circle of Friends', made from a chain. And we're here because friendship is what we gain! Born on-line formed by few, We had no idea just what to do. So we are linking our pages, first one then two, And wonder where we'll end up when we are through? The Circle will spread, like a wild vine, It will breathe and whisper like the winds of time. We are the Circle of Friends, made from a chain, All of our motives are exactly the same. Searching for friendships all over the lands, Linking our pages is like holding hands. We are 'the Circle of Friends', made from a chain, A chain of cable and wire without an end.

I've been asked by some members To start poet's pot, part two, And so I pondered for a while And thought the matter through. Well after giving it some thought The answer I then found, And so I've come up with this thread To get it off the ground. So come on peeps and help me, Don't leave me all alone, Let's try to fill the poet's pot Now that the seed is sown. Pick out a poem from your books That lie there on your shelf A poem penned by some great bard Or one written by yourself. I hope you'll listen to my plea And help me with this task, And add a poem to the pot, It isn't much to ask. So come on peeps pick out a gem Then when you've read it through, Just post it here for us to share In Poet's Pot, Part Two. Jeff xx
