Well having only been on for a few days and having read some of the posts I get the feeling some people have been left upset for one reason or another............everybody is entitled to an opinion on any subject and nobody is right and nobody wrong, its good and healthy to have debates on any subjects and its ok even to disagree, but it should never be personal............here endeth the sermon..........sorry about that................When you judge others you dont define them you define yourself.. |

I don't think that anyone can be expected to join in all the threads - though Liz (Purple Pointsettia) tries really hard; hi Liz if you're reading this, hope you're ok! :-)) - but you're right Tania, in that there have been many threads that you'd think would spark discussion that don't and the only possible conclusion is that they're being deliberately ignored. Looks like it's going to be a laugh a minute with you around, Paul :-) |

Hi Felicity I agree it is,I posted once on a thread about childrens sayings it was the sort of discussion everybody could get invloved in yet I was completely ignored by a number of regular posters. Its not even a matter of agreeing with someone but politely acknowledging them just as you would if they were stood next to you at a party. Unanswered threads are the same,it also seems to be pretty well isolated to this board, unless thats just my perception Regards Tania |

Not illegal for people over 40?! Thank goodness for that!!! You know, I don't expect a personal response every time I say anything - though it's really nice that I've been acknowledged by so many on this thread - but that's part of the issue isn't it, that it's so easy for people to feel that they're invisible, or ignored or otherwise not part of things? There were several comments recently for instance, that there were no good debates going so I started a few threads designed to promote discussion, but I needn't have bothered. They were ignored for the most part so I deleted them. Maybe folk just don't know what they want at the moment - who knows! :-) |

Hello Tania and Felicity. Sorry for not posting for a few - I was watching Coronation Street! I too have added to threads and have been 'talked over' by those on there. It was as if I were invisible. I have avoided those people from then, no use adding insult to injury. Babz - Didn't Paul run the 'Sunday Breakfast Club' at one time? Deb |

Hi Paul I did notice your thread,it is a wet day in the middle of summer hols here and I was just wondering how illegal it is to pop 3 kids in a cupboard with tape over there mouths when I spotted it and thought someone else with kids home brawling LOL Hi Babz I must admit I was amazed at first especially noting the age and generation of many of the posters, you dont need people to agree with you but acknowledgment of someone on a thread by saying hello costs nothing but good manners. Regards Tania |
