Hi to all ,just to let you know ,we are home again ,getting here at 1205 pm to a rapturous welcome from one puddy tat who has already started her usual home coming routine ,lol,in one door ,stroke ,purr ,out 'tother then startinjg all over again. We brought the youngest sons big case with all the washing home with us ,to save him carting it through Leeds ,Blackpool, and Newcastle stations, and squeezing it into taxies with all the other luggage,so i wonder what Hissy will make of that ,lol ,bogging off again so soon after coming home as we run down to Wallsend to drop the case off.don't think she will be best pleased ,he he. It will be even worse come Sundsay when we leave to go down to Lyneham to help the Grandson shut the house up until he comes home March,we may have one pi***d off Hissy when we come home from that one ,think we may have to stop off at the local fish mongers for a peace offering. We have quite a bit of damage in our garden from the storms ,but nothing i can't put right within a couple of weeks ,the main thing is ,the house and greenhouse are still in one piece lol.must admit i was wondering seeing the wind strength and very high seas in Blackpool. Very sad to hear of the mine accident in Wales even one death is one too many but seeing as more and more mines down there are reopening because of fuel prices i suppose that will happen every so often, and the welsh are very much used to that sort of thing ,mining being very much in the blood. Here's hoping the rest of the men are found alive, and hopefully uninjured. . Time to go and finish the unpacking ,and find something for the tea ,then come tomorrow ,time to start packing again ,lol gawd what a weekend ,Fred. :-D

Hi Brenda, The weather should be hot tomorrow(Sat) at Lakes Entrance, it passed 36c here outside my tent, and 40c inside. looks like we are in for a bushfire season. Cool Southerly breeze at lakes should keep the temp down. P.S. Could be a Late shower Tomorrow, But Sunday is Clear.

Had an email from my mate in Mornington this morning Bill, she was saying the weather was getting better and they are going off to to Lakes Entrance tomorrow for a few days ,how's that for a coincidence ? I do take glococimine and a couple of other vitamins ,was taking some fish oil as well but because I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago i can't take them as they cause other problems.!!!. Hope the mini holiday has been a success Fred ,sounds like you have had a good time all in all. Johns mother was going to go down to her caravan this weekend but they are having car trouble so she was not sure if they would get there. Had a good day with my leg today ,been to the supemarket and the library, and touch wood have not had much pain, Hope tomorrow and Saturday is just as good as we are hoping to get to Bury market.. Having a chicken casserole, with a baked spud and cauliflower tonight nice and simple Hope the weather is dry tomorrow so John can get out to golf ,he starts getting a bit stir crazy if he doesn't get out .!!!! Better go and sort out the tea. see you soon, Brenda

Morning to all ,or should i say afternoon he he.just back after a coffee with the sis in law who is on duty in reception, while waiting for the wife to finish her drink. We did get the car spruced up this morning after breccie [bacon, egg, and tomato ,yum.and doing a little shopping for our last tea here tomorrow. Having the sis' in law here for it after they both finish work at 1900,we decided on a king size Shepherds Pie ,done with the roast pot's and onion ,parsnip .with a cauliflower topped with a cheese sauce ,and breadcrumbs, very yummy for a chilly night. The weather has picked up now ,wind died down and sunny spells for the kids to go out on the quad bikes this afternoon.,but it is supposed to get pretty cold overnight ,to be expected at this time of year. Catch you later Brenda ,Bill & Dorothy ,time to get the dinner out a tinned mince and potato pie with new potatoes and beans.Fred :-D .

For lunch have made a pan of leek and potato soup, with some broccoli looks and smells really good will know how it tastes later. Having liver and sausage with mash and onion gravy for tea, just right for this weather, Bought one of those cooking bags with spices for cooking chicken it was on offer for 50p so not bad ,might try it tomorrow with a jacket spud.Hope your tea was ok and the visitors enjoyed that lovely sounding meal Fred. Bill I have the arthritis in my right knee and hip can manage that but have a trapped nerve as well which is causing big problems with pain ,waiting to go to a NHS physio ,but couldn't get an appointment till Oct 4,appointment was made in early August.Been seeing aprivate one which is helping., Hope you will be feeling better as you go into your summer,my friend is at home in Mornington at the moment, not sure when her next trip is and where, sometimes they just take off for a few days when her husband has no work on,he is a consultant for an engineering company. Hi Brenda,We have been to Blackpool, lol, what a mess it is in ,the high winds have brought sand and spume [sea foam] all over the roads and promenade .up the windows of the shops ,and over all the cars [ours included ] while it was parked at Little Bisholm where we parked to get the tram in to Blackpool centre. The sea was still breaking over the new sea wall ,which makes mew wonder if the council has made a mistake in not building it at least a metre higher, what happens in ten years time when the sea levels will be a lot higher. There is no chance of getting these trams running as they should have been before at least spring next year ,and i reckon the town has lost millions in the tourist trade ,so i can see the prices going through the roof to try making up for the losses this year. The storm certainly hasn't helped ,coming at the end of a poor season, and by the time we got a tram back up the road to the car ,the poor thing was covered in salt and foam , and after the clean it had before we came down ,i wasn't too pleased with myself for not checking the tide before parking where i did ,smacks wrist ,hard. We have company for tea tonight ,chicken casserole ,roast potatoes, and red onion ,with parsnips ,cauliflower ,and leeks in a cheese sauce ,so i hope the caravan oven is up to it ,lol. Catch you later all Fred. :-D

I can get a bus to town and then another little bus in town but due to diversions because of roads works and building work etc it takes longer than the ride to town to get were I am going. If I could walk ok it s only about 7mins,!! Have a couple of jobs to do before I go so better get cracking as I am not going to rush !! Hope Dorothy and Bill are ok. Take care hugs Brenda

Morning our Brenda ,here i isssss ,sat in the van on our first morning here ,lol ,no chance of getting out far today because the wind is going to get a lot stronger until late today ,and Liz finds it catches her breathe ,not good for her. Like it or not Lass ,you will HAVE to let your body heal itself by sitting back and letting it do so ,the more you kick up and try to do too much straight away ,the longer it will take ,believe me ,i have been there ,done it ,and worn the tee shirt..Bet your puddy tats enjoyed their fish ,lol,Hissy loves hers.so ,we normally get her white fillets ,and defrost one a week for her by placing it in a saucepan ,and pouring boiling water over it,lid on ,and left for three minutes ,job done. ,time for brekkie ,but ,being stuck indoors ,i will be back later.Fred. :-D

Afternoon all,we have had a dry day with some high winds and very grey skies but not the rain that the forecasters predicted!! Could have got the washing on the line and dried really but I was a bit causious and put it in the drier. It will not need ironing now its out of the drier and folded so thats one job saved. Did not realise you are in Fleetwood this weekend Fred ,thought it was later this month.Hope the weather stays dry for you and the very high winds do not materialise. I had bought some frozen sardines from the freezer shop last week and we had them last night ,they came in a tray to either bake or grill them in. The cats did not move from the cooker while they were cooking and we ended up having to put them out while we had tea ,never seen them so mithering for anything even chicken !! we saved them two small ones for their tea and they really got stuck into them . Bill my mate from Mornington was over early this year as her mum was not well. She was only here for 3 weeks and I did not see much of her we eamil a couple of times a week ,They are both sort of semi retired and have bought a caravan to do some touring ,last week they went to Wagga Wagga to see some relations and I know they have been to Lakes Entrance in the past. Hope you are ok where you are and ok health wise as you will have read I am not as good as I was and have alot of trouble with arthritis and a trapped nerve in my back, Having physio which does help but I keep jumping the gun and trying too do to much too soon.!!!! Can't seem to stay still and let it get better on its own!! Hope Dorothy has enjoyed her friends visit and the tennis, Take care see you tomorrow Brenda However my mates are getting older and one now as dementia and another has

What you like Brenda ,lol, still ,i cant really tell you off ,because i am forever doing the same thing myself ,yesterday being a prime example .. Up with the larks Fred was ,out in the garden at six ,clearing the old stuff out of the buckets ,crops frozen down by seven, bit of housework ,then off to Sunderland to deliver the orange tree to it's new home [the Winter Gardens at the local museum and Park, where it will among the other citrus trees and Banana trees in the tropical garden. It will be a bit of a miss but it is now too big to bring indoors for the winter ,and the central heating would not be ideal for it,anyway ,the head gardener said i could go and see it any time i wished ,so i will hold him to that . As aid ,on my last message ,by the time we got home i was tired ,but instead of sitting down sensibly ,i carried on pottering about ,and finished up like you did ,tired out ,sore ,and stiff [smacks OWN wrist ,lol] Only one day to go now ,Hissy suspicious at us getting the travel cases out,and then going upstairs with the other boss ,hindering ,oh ,sorry Hissy.HELPING with the packing. We are only home a week until we go down To Lyneham to spend a week with Sean before he flies out on his new tour of duty. We watched the latest repat' last night at Brize Norton ,and noticed that the welcome of the local people will not change ,so the powers that be are out of luck ,it will carry on until they come to their senses and get all of our lads out of there . This is where Sean goes on his return home in six months so i will soon become used to the shops in Carterton again and seeing other repatriations to his new base ,instead of the other one. Time to find some tea now ,after i feed the furry pest ,who is impatiant to get at her fish tea ,lol. catch you later people ,hope all will have a good weekend and i will report in from Fleetwood Sunday after noon after my fish supper ,lol :-D. Fred.

Cooooo ,things get better ,lol,hi to Bill,Brenda.Dorothy ,and anyone else who turns up . No time to get on the comupter this morning .by the time i had picked the rubbish up in the back garden and putting it into the bin, wrapped the orange tree up ,which i was still waiting to deliver once all the company had gone home ,it was time to set off to the station. Orange tree delivered safely ,we had a good look around Sunderland ,went into Wilkinsons to peruse their sale gear ,it was time to come home again I have taken all the beans ,calabrese, and haulms of the used cabbage out, blanched the last of the broadbeans ,runners and dwarf climbers, cleaned out the whole bottom corner of the garden ,leaving just the soil and buckets ,ready for next season. That's it for the day anyway ,i isss now packered and have sat down with a tin of my strong lager, waiting for the soup to come to the simmer ,french stick at the ready ,lol, we may even settle for a crumble pudding for afters. Catch everyone later some time has been set aside this evening for the packing of the cases.,and then it's an early night for us both. Fred. :-D
