Ok its me again - r u ready for the 2nd installment of me holiday??:o)) Whilst in NY we walked through a small part of Central Park, saw the sign 'Strawberryfiels' - this is where a man sings Beatle songs and plays guitar, people sit on the grass in the summer and sing along with him (l am told - hope l have that right!). Saw the hotel where YoKo lives, had a meal and then walked around part of the Natural History Museum - l think we would still be there now if we'd looked at everything. Whislt we were there my cousin went back to her flat to meet the maintenance man - clever me had broken her tap!!!!! or atleast l thought l had - he sorted it:o)))) When we got back to her flat she wanted to show me a picture - when l looked at it l said out loud 'thats my dad', it had been painted by my grandfather Bernard Meninsky and she had'nt realised who it was - well l'll be!!!! lol On the Friday late afternoon she wanted us to go to a Jewish service, as our backgrounds are Jewish (although l'm a right mixture!!) - well l have never felt so emotional, l sobbed! Everyone was so friendly - as we walked in the muscians singers/speakers etc were in the middle of the room (church) in robes singing and playing guitars. The music was a combination of Argentina and Israel, beautiful!! loads of people old, young etc got up and formed a circle and danced round the room, people kept joining on the end - the atmosphere was electric. My cousin was overwhelmed that l enjoyed it so much. All to soon it was time to pack and leave for Denver to meet my half sister her 3 children, half brother and my EX step mother - thats for another day though - lol Sylvia - hope your keeping busy and you take care, we'll all be thinjking of you. Fred - you mentioned the other that your visiting Anglesey - thats about 6 hrs away. Brenda - do hope your enjoying your holiday. Shame you did'nt get the info you needed at the records dept. Dorothy - hope you are ok. Anyone that l have missed - take care. Kathleen are u about - can't wait to meet you in April;o)))) jude sarf wales:o) xx

Well hello to the new thread ,long may it live.
Old Fred got up with a savage headache this morning so logged on after i had put the kettle on,and had just started to open my emails when the kettle told me it was ready[whistler].
I went out to the kitchen and made my cuppa and took a couple of tablets, but my head by this time was pounding like hell ,and my vision was getting a little blurredso i decided to go for a walk to try to clear out the cobwebs.
I even had a senior moment in forgetting to turn the puter offwhen i left.
Iv'e come back in with a head even worse than when i went out ,to find the wife up for the first time in ages ,and in a bit of a tizz, but have sorted her out [i hope] and hopfully sorted out my emails too.
I'm off back to bed with what looks to be a migraine, which thankfully i havn't had in a long time.
See you all later peeps .Fred.

Hi there girls and boys, So I am the one to be chosen to be first on the new site. I managed to get on quite quickly this evening. I had my help in the house today and the sweet girl has given me a present to take with me in the hospital which I can open after the operation. Annemie came downstairs and gave me a small present too. Time is drawing near, just two more days of waiting. See you tomorrow. Sylvia xxx
