Don't worry about the op' Brenda, they know what they are doing, and this op' is as easy to perform now ,as taking a tooth out is for a dentist.
My triple bypass was an everyday op when i had it done, twenty people had it done the same day ,in the hospital i was in ,and every one of those peeps made a full recovery.
Get it done lass, recover ,and THEN worry about work, not 'tother way round.
Fred.

hi goodmorning brenda I am sorry that you are having a rough time sleeping, the op will go well but I understand the worries you are having about it, talk to your doctor about it and see if he can calm you down, though anne is always telling me that the way your doc's treat you is different from over here, for example I am always telling her to ask for a complete blood count as her sugar count was higher than mine and I am the diabetic, but she always tells me you can't do that over here, I just make an appt. and then tell him what I want within reason if I am not feeling well, maybe it is because I was a nurse and am aware of how the system works. as for the library schedule I used to do the schedule for the dept I worked in, it can be a nightmare but we had to work within union guidelines but a fair schedule makes for a happy staff, I always found that some people liked later hours if it worked with the families hope that you can resolve the issue, I have to agree freds menu's are always worth waiting for. to-day I am again going to have a lazy day still trying to get rid of this cold, and guess what it is snowing again can hardly see out of the window. bye for now dorothy

Hi ,not sleeping again tonight, too many things on my mind, the car still isn't fixed and no word about the new parts yet either.gettinga bit worried about having the op,not had one before.apart from little gyne one years ago.
Had our new time sheets for week beginning 3/3 and we did not think they could put so many what appear to be stupid shifts in one week.
We are sssupposed to be having a new library next year and was thinking of staying on after I am sixty and doing reduced hours may 7 or 10 per week or a day and a half day ,but was told today the new library will be open each day of the week and the staff will be doing more lates thats til 8pm and working more Sundays. So I will have to do a rethink ,it all comes down to money .
Work was really cold and I only got warm when I went to bed.Fell asleep for about an hour then woke up and could not get back alseep.Came on here to see who had been on and found freds delicous message and Dorothys comfy message as well.
See you tomorrow as I might as well do some searching while i am here.brenda

Hi Brenda,Dorothy,Sylviaand everyone else that looks in.
Boy ,have i been busy this last week, getting ready for two family members and bairns decending on use for Friday night,Satuday and Sunday.Got the rooms aired Fridayand then got cracking ,planning Saturdays meals for 11 people.
sunday i roasted two large chickens, with veggie trivets underneath, roast potatoes ,mixed with parsnips and peppers, stuffing, mashed potato, sausage and bacon wraps.cabbage and calabrese, all with chicken gravy.
I used two of the christmas puddings not used at the festive season, and tea of all bits and pieces left over frrom christmas,so,we now have a freezer upstairs ,half empty [wahey].
Had a good day today as well, getting all the shrubs ,bushes and plants pruned in the back garden, and all the rubbish put in the bin for tomorrows bin collection.
Hope you had a nice day for your holiday Dorothy, and hope it's to be each year.

I don't think it was Hissy upsetting the mouse Sylvia, she is a house cat and never goes out.that is of course unless she is sitting at the window sticking her tongue out lol.
I think she may have had a go at the computer mouse though grrrrr,he he ,the scrollwheel stopped working yesterday ,so i think a trip to netto is in order.
Lets hope the operation goes ahead this time Brendsa,so that you are back to your usual self as soon as possible.
We are in for a cold night again i see ,minus 7 is forcast, cor,am i glad the heater was fixed, wouldn't fancy a night like this with no heat over night.
This new heater is great, the heater is set to come on overnight if the temperature drops to 50 f.and our last gas bill ,last week shows us already in credit, some payback will be welcome in November, handy for the christmas shopping lol.
Not much else to report exept for a very unusual sky tonight as it started to get dark,a most unusual shade of red,a bit spooky lol.
Be back later .Fred.

hi one and all it is almost 7pm my time and my sister left this afternoon her friend was able to drive up and pick her up for the return trip to toronto, weather not great freezing rain, rain and snow. I had a great visit with her and we both enjoyed the pot luck supper last night, about 16 people attended, a mixed menue chili, pasta and meat and sauce, a wonderful cheesey macaroni and cheese, cabbage rolls, two different salads and coleslaw, a pickle tray, garlic bread and a tray of home made bread, chocolate covered cupcakes, tarts with cream lemon merignue pie, and a tray of homemade chocolate truffles, on of the young men who live next door to me made the truffles, so a good time was had by one and all. brenda I hope you feel better soon, to-morrow is a holiday in ontario just passed by the government it is called family day, I plan on relaxing and maybe having a lazy day in bed to recover from this cold, and the sisters visit, she may be back in may for a few days, and maybe I will fly out to calgary in sept depending on wether anne (from bury) comes to visit chris has invited her to come to calgary as well, thats it for me goodnight all dorothy

Hi all,
Had another lazy day. Didn't get dressed until midday although by that time had had breakfast and prepared the dinner.
I then "attacked" the ironing which I had promised myself to do yesterday but didn't. I don't want to get behind because I see various doctors appointments again this week.
If you looked in my store cupboards you would think there was another World war coming. I can remember my mother stocking up before WWII and now I am doing the same. I do it because I don't like going out in the snow, but hopefully that is over now.
Now did manage to make a couple of cards so life's not "all work" and "no play".
Have a nice evening.

Valentines Day
How many Valentines cards did you receive? I received none as usual. Johan says "you don't feed a fish once you've caught it". He is not romantic at all. How on earth have we been married for 52 years?
Fred, maybe Missy knows where the mouse is.
Today went out to large supermarket in town. Got inside and Johan says "I'm going for a walk". I had finished my shopping, using the scanning procedure and paid and was just telling the girl that Johan would turn up when I had paid and everything packed in the basket. Lo and behold there he appeared as if he had been there all the time. He hates shopping, but likes to eat!
The weather forecasters have promised us beautiful weather for tomorrow so will go to the market even though I don't need anything.
See you tomorrow.

hi brenda I am so glad that you have finally got a date for your op I shall be thinking about you I gather it was a nice day spoke to anne this afternoon and was told the sun was shining in bury the birds were washing in the bird bath and the bulbs were popping up, as she spoke it was minus 21 here and more of the white stuff is on order for to-night, many cars here had to be boosted it was so cold through the night, I went about noon and cleaned mine off and it started allright. to-morrow I have a lot of runnign around to do groceries etc so I hope the white stuff has stopped by then , loved the news re the cat fred and your menu sounded rather good bye for now dorothy

Hi everyone,I could have sworn i left a message here this morning-- short, but still a message.Any way i have a date for my op,its 11th March ,bit later than expected but better late than never,my friend who we go away with is also having her op the week before,so hopefully over easter we can sort out a holiday at last.
Fred ,we have the same problem with our cat Oscar,he hides all over the place then manages to get in the bed room and wakes us at some unearthly hour to be fed.!!!John says he will put a revolving door on the kitchen for the cats,to help themselves.!!!
Nice sunny day again, but chilly, going to go downhill from tomorrow.
Speak to you tomorrow Brenda

'Ello all, another pretty hard frost here last night, but it looks as though we may have a pretty nice day,the sun is out up here in the north, and i think a trip out to the coast is in order.
Still havn't heard from Sean lol,so i wonder if he is nursing aches and pains, where he has been overworking his leg muscles,he he,know how he feels as i had the same sort of bother ,the first time i went rock climbing .
Hissy isn't flavour of the day after i got a wet nose jammed in my ear at five thirty this morning ,grrrrrrr, little baggage knew i had put some fresh cooked fish in the fridge last night for her breakfast ,and didn't want to wait till seven ,when she normally gets fed.
But ,no matter,it was a waste of time trying to go back to sleep so i went for a stroll round the garden, looking at the snowdrops and crocus, that are busy flowering at the moment,i really must get a few earlier daffs' put in too, they would look nice with the other bulbs ,all blooming together.
I have kept a bit of fish for myself which i will have with rice salad for dinner, and for tea ,it's something light, maybe sardine on toast, sprinkled with a few herbs, dried garlic powder with corriander maybe.
Fred is tring out his culinary skills again today,it's bread making time ,but i fancy doing some whole meal today, and maybe a small white for liz as she isn't too keen on a brown[dosn't know what's good for her].
I havn't seen any sign of Mr Mouse this year yet,and i'm beggining to wonder if a cat has got him, which will be a shame,iv'e gotten used to watching his [or her] antics, but i have seen the wren out back in the past few days,so hopefully ,they will be nesting in the hedge again.
Time to get the scales out peeps, the kitchen is warm enough now to get started ,so,i will see you later.Fred.
