Hi
Daylighting saving finished early this morning (2am in fact) although we altered the clocks backwards before going to bed. An extra hour in bed - ha ha, we were awake quite early today and its going to take a few days for our body clocks to switch over. I pity those who have sporting events today or at conferences particularly if they forget to alter their watches and arrive late at the event.
The Indian Summer we have experienced has ended, we have had some rain but would like more. The fire ban that existed for the past few months has been relaxed. Rain was forecasted for yesterday (Saturday) and again today (Sunday) so far there has been none of the liquid coming from the heavens.
Looking at the clock its time for coffee so I will grab one shortly. Catch you another time.
John

Hello everyone, another quick message i am afraid, weather has been good today apart from the odd shower of hailstones !!!
Not doimg much at all these days, but still having pain and feeling tired.Back at the doctors next Friday, can't see me going back to work like this.!! I would be a hinderance when there was only two of us on,not to mention a potential danger as well.
Johns just doing the tea so I had better do the table ,I can manage to set the table at least.

Morning all, apologies for being missing this last week due mainly to being out in the van still,Peter not being fit enough to drive till next week.
Of course,by the time i have come in again and got dinner ,and started housework.i am knackered come evening ,and have been having early nights.
We pulled a flanker yesterday knowing i was at the hospital at midday today, and stayed out late, doing all todays work in the afternoo n.
This leaves me today clear [yippee],so i can take the wife out this morning to do the shopping,go straight to the hospital by bus ,leave there and take a leisurely trip to town by said bus, while my eyes recover from the stuff they put in to dilate them.
We pulled some turkey meat out of the freezer last night before going to bed,and with it i am going to do a stir fry for the tea.
I won't use a bought sauce for it because of the sugar levels in it,but will make my own witjh a little ginger, soy sauce ,chinese 5 spices and garlic.corriander powder,so it should be pretty tasty.
Sorry to hear of peoples troubles ,makes me reralise just how small MINE are compared to Brenda,Sylvia ,and a few others.
Spare a thouight for our Oz and anzac cousins though peeps, they have had a really rough week with the weather ,droughts ,and hurrricanes,on top of their other worries,us brit's are so lucky in many ways.
I hope everyone is okay for the heating for the next few days, bad weather is coming ,and we look to be going back to winter yet again,he he,think i will go put the lids on the tattie barrels to give the young shoots protection.
That's about it for now,but i will be back in early this evening .Fred.

hi brenda again do try and not overdo things I hope that john is feeling better, we are now having some warmer temperatures but now the floods have started as the massive amounts of snow start to melt, to-day I think that my gentleman friend is heading up for a visit unless some of the roads are flooded out on the way up but it is so nice to see the sun , spoke to anne yesterday she is still on a high from her birthday on saturday 57 cards she recieved she does love cards, but again I don't think that she is going to come over this year, sooooo I had a look at prices in oct via charter and they are not to bad so I am thinking maybe I will come over but it will depend on the budget I really shouldent but then again the thought of seeing anne bury market and the book stores well it does give me idea's I shall just have to buy a lottery ticket bye for now dorothy

Hi all,
Sorry to hear that your husband is ill Brenda, and hope he soon gets well again.
Yesterday Johan and I took the taxi to the north of Holland and picked up a nice secondhand mixer for our granddaughter's birthday next week. I found it on Marktplaats (like EBay).
I still haven't mastered the art of using a catheter to drain off my urine. I could have sat down and cried today. I will not give up, but I could have done without this latest business. They think maybe the Radiation treatment I had after my first cancer op damaged my bladder. As soon as this little business is going well we will go away. I have a date in my head. Anyway the weather has certainly improved.
Have a nice evening.

I do believe that my gentleman friend is coming up on tuesday I have not seenhim since november as he does not drive as soon as there is one snowflake plus he wants his income tax form doing. I spoke to anne yesterday it was her birthday her daughters had taken her to the new or removed boundry mill she bought a skirt and top, then they were having a birthday tea at the one daughters house so she had a good day bye for now dorothy

Afternoon all,I have been looking on line and have actually seen a couple of fires, but we need to get some advise from somewhere on a few things.thats why we thought we would go somewhere, just to pick their brains really.!!!
John is now on crutches,he was complaining that he had a pain in his heel yesterday and it got worse during the day.None of us had any sleep as he was in agony,( I did suspect something far worse )so first think this morning (9am) i took him to A&E ,they said he had Tendonitis, which is in his Archilles tendon. They gave him crutches and told him to take painkillers and icepacks and some excersises. So we are a right pair between us.!!! He is sat watching the footie and I am on here!!.Have mangaged to put some chops in the oven for tea,and just need to do a few oven chips .
Will keep you posted.Brenda

Hiya peeps ,back in again, and it looks like i won't be needed next week as Peter is a lot better, but if by chance i am it will be def' the last week.
If i were you in this eather Brenda,i would spend time on the puter to find your fire instead of going out in the cold.
Get in touch direct with the factories, you will land up paying a lot less than you will if you go to the shops, even the likes of argos, are a lot dearer thanan on line buy.
Our electric fire only took 6 days to come ,and we saved £30 on argos shop prices.
Still can't get started on the garden what with this ruddy weather,i see no sign of global warming here ,cooling maybe lol, where's the spring [mutters under breath ]
Don't forget to put your clocks forward Saturday night peepsor you may land up getting the boss out of bed late, and then you will be getting your dinner late, and an hour lost in the pub you fella's he he.
Catch you all later, off to get on with research, looking for two family members who are hiding in the paper work somewhere.[exits singing, come out ,come out where ever you are ] from chitty chitty bang bang ,lol.Fred.

Morning all.its wet and windy here again, was going out to start looking for a new gas fire,as ours has stopped working altogether,we have had it "fixed " a few times ,but it seems to have given up well and truly now.But will leave it for a few days till its either drier or I feel better.Have been looking on line as well but need some information before we buy.
Also been looking for ink cartridges, can't find any good deals at the moment have black but need some colour.
Take care ,Brenda
