Hiya peeps,at last i can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I took Peter to the hospital today, and he has been told he can go back to work on Tuesday.yippee[Fred is so exited at being let off the leash that he can't sleep ,and is dancing a jig round the puter station ,lol].
I was sooooo chuffed at the news that i set too this afternoon and got the shed and greenhouse cleared out ready for the seasons shenanigines.
Looking forward to this Friday now ,when ,hopefully i can get cracking out back [and front ] lol .
Liz calleed me last evening while i was doing the tea to say that she had seen Mr mouse out back running off with a bit of the birds bread,so ,it's nice to know he is still around feeding on the dropped bird seedhe keeps the patio tidy for me ,and i don't have seed sprouting everywhere around the feeding stations lool.
Softley Softley catche monkey Brenda ,you take it easy lass and slip back into the job gently,no point in overdoing it is there?.
Hope everyone is gearing up for the holiday weekend ,what a way to start my re-retirement he he,four days holiday, then a permanent holiday lol, can't be bad can it?
I have plenty to keep me busy,i have the dishwasher to hang on the brackets and plumb in,and i can't do that until i have re decorated the wall it will be fitted on,and if that's the case i may as well redecorate the whole kitchen, oooooooer, this is beginning to sound like a saga .
Anyone want to buy a dishwasher lol.
Fred.

Hi everyone,we still have some good weather ,but it has been trying to rain, mind you we did have an absslote tremendous down pour at lunch time yesterday caught a lot of people on the hop/l.
Have been busy today ,cleaned the kitchen floor, put some washing on the line(and it dried)sorted a few things out for the charity shop.took some parcels to the post office,,took the stuf to the charity shop.Went to my dads, made some phone calls for him, sorted out his "file of bills etc"
came home made the tea and now am on here,I should certainly sleep tonight.None of the things i did was really strenuous aprt from the kitchen floor..Back in work 10 til 1 again tomorrow, then having my hair cut.And hopefully will be seeing afew old work mates for an itlian meal in the evening, mind you arrangements have had to change at the last minute before.!!

Hi everyone, sorry i was missing yesterday was at dads sorting things out and then had to get my self ready for work today.
Dorothy hope the "job " works out ok i know A few of my older freinds do charity work to help pass the time, but one walked out on hers last year when she told them she was having a holiday and they more or less moaned as they said she had only had one two months earlier!!.The job was in a shop ans she did one day a week.!! she was giving them a few weeks notice, but when they moaned she said if thats how you feel I will not come back.
Apparently only the manager was paid and it would mean she would have to work in the shop rather than the office!!
Up to last year retiering memembers of the library staff could work up to 10 hours a week and still take theirpensiom but that seems to have stopped.I was thinking of doing that myself next yaer.
It was ok at work today, did not do anything too strenuos as I was told. But did feel a twinge or two on the way home,as I had not really been moving about like that at home.Bending and a little stretching.
Hope everyone is ok see you tomorrow, brenda

hi brenda so back to work on monday do remember to take it slow talking about work I have a little news I was offered a part time job the other day, one of ladies in this building is the manager of the local community service ie. they make arrangements to pick up unwanted household items and donate them to charity. the job is phoning to see if households want things picked up this service is well recieved in the area it is not like tele-marketing, I have used it my self, it is from 9am-1pm which would give some focus to my day, I am going on monday to the office with resume in hand to see what it all entails, there is a 2 week training period, not sure how many days a week I would do but as this winter was very boring and the children do not require as much looking after it would be good to have something to do, the pay is just the minimum wage but making tomuch an hour would play havoc with my tax bracket so we shall see what happens. supposed to get a few showers to-day but it is still fresh and warm off for my walk soon bye for now dorothy

hi everyone the weather to-day is realy nice going to go out for my walk soon, brenda the dinner with Ian last evening was great he started off with calamari then had two big bowls of mussells he could not manage a third, then had a big slice of carrot cake as he put it that was the best grandma, I had fish and chips but no mushy peas they just don't do them well over here. the server was surprised that at his age he had such a menu choice. brenda can you remember how soon neil's book is coming out I am sure I am not going to be able to get it over here so I will have to send anne the money and have her buy a copy and mail it, I know he said he would send me one but I feel rather cheeky asking him to do that anyway enjoy the day bye for now dorothy

goodmorning one and all brenda hope you have a nice visit with your friend yes I do hope that lindy enjoyed the surprise I will find out later to-day when we all get to-gether for dinner I think we are going to give Ianhis gifts as well seeing that monday he will be 9 and they swimming lessons that evening he will have a party with his friends later in the week, I have to agree with fred that growing ones own vegatables is a good idea the price of food is going up weekly, I did grow tomatoes on the balcony last year and I think that this year I am going to add a green pepper plant, and I will see what else I might be able to do remembering that I am not a great green thumb person, again to-day we are looking at good weather 24 degree,s but along the lake there are still piles of snow melting away, and the one shopping centre I was at yesterday still has a big pile of snow at one end that has not melted yet. hope you all have a great week-end fred enjoy your time off bye for now dorothy

Morning everyone,Hopwe Lindy enjoys all these surprises dorothy, trying to think what i can do for John ,as he will be 60 in July.Mind you its what he will then do for me when i am 60 next year.!!!#Its dry here at the moment but rain has been promised.
Going to some friends toda, she is getting over breast reconstruction ,(she had a mastectomy almost 18 months ago,) and I have had my op so we have not seen much of each other,we will hopefully be going for lunch ,but we will see how we both are,I am ok now but was a bit sickly earlier on and have pain again..Don't want to eat out then be sick,it costs to much.
Hope you can get something done in the garden Fred.,your right about growing stuff,we can see ourselves taking up the flagged area and puting in veggies, mind you .John has grown veggies etc in the past ,but when he was at his mothers and they did not have pets,!!
Speak to you soon ,Brenda

Morning Brenda,Dorothy, and anyone else who looks in.
Wahey,i'm on a long weekend ,all done till Monday, but what a bummer,i gets up at five to feed that ruddy cat lol.opens the curtains ,and it's piddling down with rain[again],so sobs ,wrings hands and says [bugger]he he.
I still havn't got that second load of tatties in the second barrell, and here was i thinking about a third, but i suppose ,there is time yet.
With the way food prices are going up,i may finish up removing the back lawn and using the patch to extend the veggie growing, things being what they are.
I think i may use the new buss pass today to take the missus over to the metro cente,at least we can have our walk about in the dry,i may even buy her some dinner,we don't eat out very often.
You sound as though you are slowly getting there Brenda, taking your time seems to be the order of the day.
Well ,the weekend is here again, halfway through april, and still cold and wet ,lol,we may as well look forward to christmas folks ,we don't look to be gettting a summer this year lol.
Ducks to hide from the missiles, and old boots.
See ya' later all.Fred.

Hi All,Fred haven't had a broom or anything remotely like one in my hand for ages.have done a bit of ironing each day for a few days now ,and also cooked a couple of meals so thats not bad.Had lunch with y sister today and a walk round asupermarket looking at bags and shoes ,but did have what we went in for.
