Morning all,wow ,looks like being a nice one today not eight oclock am yet but the sun is out ,the sky is blue, but our hissy won't enjoy next week too lol.
Fred is going to get his heavy gardening gloves out .cos he is going to need them.Hissy is to be neutered, after i realised reading blurb ,that having her done gives her a less stressful ,and longer life.
She is a dear little baggage ,and i want her around as long as is possible.
Seeing as anyone on an invalidity benifit can get a cat or dog seen to for under £10 there is no need to chance a cat or dog getting [caught] .
I need the gloves to hold her down while the vet slips the needle into the vein, she will create something awful [ouch] bit like a firework if you know what i mean ,lol, light the blue touch paper and retire he he.
I found the caravan site Sylvia, complete with post code so the sat nav will get a good trty out coming down there.
I note that the park is near to Darlington,a lovely old town with a smashing indoor marketthat you may enjoy,i know it's time i was in there again.
I would think that Ann who lives in the area would be interested in a visit, should be nice ,two of the nicest ladies on genes ,getting together for tea and biccies [which Fred will supply].
Hey Dorothy,i am breathless here trying to blow some of this loooooverly weather your way, after the rain over the past two days ,and now the sun,i know what Fred will be doing this afternoon lol,the lawns look great, green and healthy BUT, they need a hair cut he he,but seeing as we intend to sit out this evening for a last bought in chinese meal before Sean goes back to camp in Cyprus,we are going to enjoy the time we have left with him.
We found this chinese takaway by accident a few weeks ago,and ordered two meals ,one chicken sweet and sour cantonese style, and one beef in ginger and bamboo shoots ,with water chestnuts sauce both with egg freid rice, and what we thought two small side orders of chips, cause Fred being a naughty lad decided to hell with the diet ,i want chips [stamps foot in a strop].
The meal arriveedd piping hot and smelling lovely, but disaster, when opened it showed a mountain of everything ,no way could Liz and i eat a half of it,so ,an sos was sent out to the son and grandson ,who arrived ten minutes later.
The two meals cost us £11 -50p and could have fed four adults never mind 3 and an adolesent he he,so,this place is on our once every couple of months list,[the other month it's our fish and chippy]
The garden is looking good now ,liz has done her usual in the greenhouse ,and i have tons of veggies to put into their buckets, and sink into the garden.yep ,a busy week next week methinks lol.
Off to have a look around my domain now, before it gets really warm out there ,see ya later all,and ,enjoy your weekend.
Brenda ,hope your dad is comfortable and things improve for both him ,and you. very soon
Fred.

Hi all,
Well, things are getting exciting now. Will be lovely to see Fred and any others. We have first to cope with my eldest daughter's 50th birthday. She is giving a big party later with her partner, who was 60 in January. We don't want to go to that party as it is too busy for us. My grandchildren have just been bought all new clothes for the party. No, all a bit too much pomp and circumstance.
Will keep this short, but hope to give you a mobile telephone number for emergencies whilst we are in England.

Morning peeps ,wet here today but i ain't worried as i only have to take the missus shopping today.
Don't need a tom tom Sylvia,i have the latest french michelin sat nav for the car,so i will use it to come down to durham to see you, lol,it will be the first time iv'e used it ,so it will be a good trial.
I will need the area of the park off you though to load into the sat' nav ' if you have it,the nearest town will .
My [old] japopy is most upset he he jemima is not yet a year old ,so don't be suprised if she ignores you altogether, like most ladies ,she can be very touchy when called old lol.
County durham is only over the water, and durham itself is only 11 miles from the house so it won't take long to get there anyway, hopefully you will have some nice weather for your visit,it's a lovely part of the country, with plenty to see from the river ,to the cathederal, and town itself.
Hope everyone has a good weekend Sylvia ,Brenda, and i think a couple of other peeps will be interested in Meeting our Sylvia too.maybe Ann from darlington,Jenny from Tynemouth, and maureen from down durham way ,to name but a few.
Off to do my hubby duties now, console Jemima ,so she will take us shopping he he,and get the supplies in before it snows again [well ,anything is possible with this weather lately] Fred.

Hi all,
Well everything is going well, all static caravans are booked and we are all set.
Fred, it's about time your family bought you a TomTom and then you can relax when out in your old jaloppy!
Fred, we are going to stay on Winston Caravan Park Co. Durham 23rd - 27th June. Is this far from you? Would like to see you for coffee, and anybody else who is able to come of course.

Morning everyone, from a Very sunny Newcastle ,wher fred has been watering the lawns lol.
I put the feeder/weeder on both lawns a week and a half ago because the forcast said heavy rain, and showers grrrrrrr ,still no water from the heavens,so old fred is out in the garden at six in the mornings spraying the grass like a demented dervish.
It seems to be working because i can see where the new growth is coming away, but ,there is no substitute for rainwater.
We are away up country today so that i can try out my new toy[sat ,nav], i don't like to use a map when i am out in the car ,a sat nav is so much more efficient ,[if loaded correctly].
A map ,for me means being out on the moors with a tent ,map ,and compass where they can all be used to determine exactly where you are,and where you intend to go.
Off now to throw a thunderflash into the bedroom to wake the old biddy up.it's either that ,or a wet flannel he he,,so,if you hear an auguished scream in a few minutes ,it's only Liz getting a wakeup call.lol.
Fred.

badger Report 23 May 2008 07:47

Morning Dorothy,Sylvia, anyone else? lol, where is everybody these days, have the holidays started already?
Liz and i sat down last night and perused the pamphlet of the holiday we have won ,and decided that all in all ,we preffered the original idea of the holiday in Oz,so,as they say, nice idea america ,but NO DEAL ,lol[tears up paperwork] and not filling in the info for pay pal .
Well.holiday time is hear[nearly, and i spent the main part of the day finishing the long border in the front garden, and sprinkling lawn seed on the brown patchesin case i have done it again he he [putting too much feed and weed on ,killing the grass in the process],ho hum ,thinks about spraying the lawn with green paint.
The rest of the time i spent on scrubbing the patio table and chairs ,ready for sitting outside ,and B B Q ,s,mainly because Fred fancies one over the weekend ,and the missis will give me hell if she gets to sit down on a dirty chair.
Our brown bin arrived yesterday, now i won't have to put grass weed into the rubbish bin anymore, and will have more room for proper rubbish.
Now all we need is the wheelie bin for recycle waste and we have the lot.
Looks like i have to cut the hedges this wekend too,but it isn't so bad now,i can tow the bin along the front as i go and will be able to piut the clippings straight in with out having to bag it all first, much easier.
Today we are off to the metro centre where i have got to buy one of those new compact bagless cyclonic small hoovers for the cat hairs lol.i'm afraid ,now that the moggy is fully grown ,the hairs will agrivate the missus's chest complaint if i allow them to build up on the carpets and furniture.
I suppose i could get rid of the missus, and save my money ,and keep the cat he he ,no dear ,i didn't mean it [ouch].
While we are there i will be taking the wife and Sean in to the chinese buffet as promised for dinner, before coming home.
I hope the spray works Dorothy,i love a nice curry ,but i couldn't stand Madras smells under my nose 24/7,it would put me off curry for life.
Well, that's me for now peeps ,enjoy your long weekend all,no matter what you do,and you take care Edith and get yourself fit again.Fred.

goodmorning I see that manchester united won the big match how great is that. again it is raining but the sun is supposed to shine for the week-end . to-morrow three not two of my friends are coming up for the day an extra surprise is that another lady is making the trip the 4 of us have been friends since we were in our 20,s so it will be a fun day for me. the price of petrol and bread have just risen again this week does not appear to be an end to this. the manager had the superentendent fix a new peice on the bottom of my door and gave me some spray to help with the curry problem, apparently the new people own a mr sub food outlet and work long hours so maybe the curry cooking will only happen now and then,!!!!!! I am giving bryan money for his birthday to-wards golf camp or golf lessons but going out to-day to pick up a little something extra for him so he has something to unwrap hope you all have a good day bye dorothy

Hi,
In retaliation to the curry smell, how about trying fried sardines. These really smell awful when being fried. I used to fry some fresh sardines when I spent my winters in Spain and our neighbours complained as the odours wafted over the stairs to the other appartments. The only one to appreciate the smell would be our moggies.
Will write more another day as I am knackered after a lovely day out today.
