Hi all,
Well the Autumn storm seems to have died down and we had a dry day today.
I have to go to the hospital tomorrow with a sample of urine as I am sure I have cystitis again. It's about two years now since I first had this and so many antibiotics. All these sessions of bladder rinsing don't seem to be helping.
I have been enjoying the new lamp with good magnifying glass I bought at a handicraft shop last Friday. It gives such a good light. I left Johan in the car with a flask of coffee and some sandwiches and a good book and scoured the handicraft shop. I had seen the lamps advertised with a reduction in price and when I mentioned this to Johan he said "you have enough lamps", so this is why I made sure he was settled in the car outside whilst I was inside shopping. I had a good time and bought lots of bits and pieces of new things for my craft work.
I real happy bunny I am.
Now with my Xmas cake made and most of my Xmas cards I feel a bit more relaxed. I made a beautiful wedding card for my nephew yesterday.
See you tomorrow.

Morning all, well we do have some sunshine but it is still very chilly,I am also making christmas cake today, haven't done one for years but thought I would have a go again now.
I use a recipe I got from a Delis Smith book about 15 years ago made them each year till the year my mam died, 2000,then could not be bothered, not sure if my dads death has spurred me to do them this year or not.
You should be ready for your visit to your sister I think Dorothy,? and Fred should be in Cala Gran, pity I am not going over to Johns mams it would have been good to meet him.,
Better go and get started or I will be waiting for the oven to cook the tea at midnight.!!!

Hi all,
Well Autumn has come in with all the trimmings, high winds and stormy with lashings of rain. However, looking on tv I see some places in France and Switzerland have had snow unexpectedly.
Today I made my Xmas cake and it looks a real winner. I sent Johan out shopping and he managed to get most I wanted except for the fact he bought a bag of bread mix instead of white flour. I fortunately just had enough to bake the cake or I would not be so happy.
So Brenda you too are off to Spain. Let's hope we have good weather.
Have a healthy, happy weekend and till tomorrow.

Hi all,
Where are you going on holiday Brenda?
My holiday is drawing near - November 20th to Spain.
Yesterday I went to my first craft class run by our local handwork shop. I enjoyed some new company.
I've persuaded Johan to come with me tomorrow to a recently opened large handicraft store.Who knows what he may be tempted to buy me?
well I've been a good girl, so I may get rewarded!!!!
Yesterday evening I had my granddaughter in for dinner. It's always a pleasure to have her, and have to look twice to see if it really was her. Her hair is now platignum blonde and she'd borrowed boy friend's coat, so was unrecognisable.
The girl with whom she shares the house is in Australia for six weeks, so she is a bit lonesome. The current boy friend lives so far away - and that costs money.
See you tomorrow

hi brenda so you have booked a holiday where are you going I have to agree the weather is starting to turn cooler we have had rain and cool weather for the last day or so, to-day as I type it is gray and raining again so I was going to wash the chairs on the balcony but not to-day I guess the pepper plant is going mad full of flowers and small peppers not sure why. to-night is the debate in the U.S between the vice predidential candidates the tv. channels are full of it plus our leaders are debating as well but not much ionterest in that they are rather overdhadowed. to-morrow I can vote in the early vote and the place is just down the road from me so I shall pop on down, I get annoyed when people say they are not going to vote or can't be bothered just a pet peeve of mine, I read in the bury times that the house next to the one I grew up in is for sale for 190,000 pounds I could not believe it, while they are over a 100 yrs old and with big rooms it is still 2up and 2 down with additions I always go by when I am over and they look in good shape well looked after but 190,000 sounds a bit far fetched to me thats almost 400,000 dollars and that would buy a 4 bedroom detached over here ah well times do change see what happens when it rains I never know when to stop nattering bye for now dorothy

goodmorning glad to hear you made it to bury brenda and had a fun lunch with your friend, after raining all day yesterday to-day it is coolbut sunny and I can see for miles the hills that are usually far in the distance seem very close to-day a good day for a walk. I had dinner last evening with the grandchildren while their mom and dad had dinner out and some adult time, they lead such busy lives with the children jobs activities etc that once in a while they need to go out alone and catch up with each other, hockey season has started again for bryan and as usual he is excited about it, the three of them have started the swimming programs again, laura was to start tennis till she injured her knee and Ian is doing volleyball, he is not doing hockey this year he prefers to be in goal but at his age they rotate the position , andrew is also having a year off from being a trainer and just wants to be a dad and watch from the stands, and lindy plays ball hockey on a ladys team very busy people, plus when the snow comes it will be ski-ing and snow boarding gosh I am exhausted reading all this, for myself a good book and wtching from the stands does it for me well I think I shall pop off for a walk while it is so nice but first I will ring anne in bury and see what she is up to to-day bye for now dorothy

goodmorning glad to see you back fred and busy as usual sounds like you will be having some good soups in the freezer, maybe you will get some nice weather for the fall we had a great week with sunshine but to-day it is dull and overcast and rain is on the way so I shall pop out to the shops soon and get the week-end paper and that sould be all this week-end. while I was pleased to hear about the new baby in the family I recieved one of those phone calls you don't like to get, another cousin in england phoned to say her grandaughter ged 29 had died she lived north of me in port elgin with her dad and two other sisters my cousin did not know the cause of death she was found in her bed, she had fought her way back from an alchol addiction and was doing well for the last three years back at college and seemed to be over the hump her dad is very upset needless to say. on to happier thoughts I hope that brenda made it to the market yesterday and had some fun hope you all have a good week-end bye for now dorothy

Morning all ,here we are again ,home from the van and rarin'to go lol.
Liz is alrerady looking to go and buy some celery and bacon bits ,yes ,youve guessed it ,the tomato's are ready and it's soup time again.
Seems we are going to have lamb chops for tea which will go nicelly with the green beans [french] out of the garden, along with some cabbage and carrot, ditto.
Good old genes came up trumps again for me just after we got home ,Fred is a very happy Bunny ,having now got the barnes family link between chesham ,bucks and oz that i have been looking for [yippee],now all i need is the link to Canada too ,which i know is there.
I will have to do a little digging to find out which ship the family went out by,and exactly where they settled.he he ,that should keep me busy for a while on these coming dark evenings .
,off to hang out the washing now that the mist has finally lifted,
Hope everyone is starting to wind down for the weekend, fred has to dig the recipe out for the missus ,ready to start the christmas fare, starting with the Cake, which she usually does ,a nice ,well moist variety that i prefer [in small slices because of the old diabetes lol].
Fred.

hi brenda yes we all had a good visit yesterday and the surprise guest went over well, went to a small cafe we always used to go to had a good meal and laughed over all the crazy things we used to do and all agreed that none of our children would ever be told about it all , lets just say that in our 30's we had good harmless fun , the boy's are asleep as I type they have just had breakfast they are finally eating the new dried food and seem to be allright at the moment they do sleep much more than they did, and sasha the more independant one just stays glued to my side if I sit down not his usual behaviour, so I shall just take it one day at a time, hope you do get to bury if you are passing the cheese stall the lancashire with garlic was wonderful I did bring some bag with me it was vacum packed so I thought it would be allright, since then I have learned that maybe customs would have had a fit, oh well you live and learn nice fall day again to-day sunny and still warm rain in the forecast for the week-end, going down the highway yesterday the tree's are really startin to turn the colours around here in the fall are so beautifull mother nature at her best bye for now dorothy
