(1) first erected in a park then moved it was a museum of sculpture, pictures, and architecture its demolition was completed because it served as a guide to enemy bombing planes. what was the building, name the place it was moved from and to! |

It was Crystal Palace, originally in Hyde Park and moved to Sydenham burnt down and later demolished. |

Thanks Caz, I ought to remember it, we did it on the course I did on Victorian History The town I am in is famous for being the birthplace of a Rolling Stone. It has a tunnel, or you could use the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge to cross from there to Essex Ron, is it a place in Wales we are looking for?? ;-)) |

Hi dee, Yes it is, Ive been many times, I am In a beautiful city where a famous battle between the scots and English was fought in 1197,the monument to the Scottish hero of this battle , fought on a bridge stands above the city Caz xxx |
