I shan't be able to go but I would love to. While we were on a short break in Scarborough last week we went to Helmsley, where one of my grandmothers was born. It is a lovely little town. My father was also born in Yorkshire but I can't remember where just at the moment. Chrissie

Anybody else coming then? I spoke to SBPF Wendy at the weekend and we're hoping to come up together. I've got no sense of direction but I think I can just about make it to Wendy's house! lol. Then Wendy is going to drive us up to York. Jeanette x

Hi Gem.....Hi everyone! Hopefully I will be able to make it again this year. It will be great to see you all, and I would also like a couple more of Ron and Carol's fabulous tree charts. And if that Jenny puts a call out on the tannoy for Haddock again, I'll marmalize her! LOL Jeanette x

thanks for that info. I will try my best to go to that. A lot of my ancestors were born around York, Selby. They are the Smith's and Lee's.

thanks for letting us know the date. My daughter lives quite near there so maybe I will manage a trip. Went to the Borthwick institute in February which was quite interesting although I never found anything relating to my lot.
