I think so. You need to cross the road to get the purple people eater.....oops I mean the purple bendy bus. Make sure you have plenty of pound coins and 50p's. Think its £1.50 for a single and £3.50 for a day ticket. But you have to put your money in the machine on the bus with no conductor. by the way to avoid any confusions I am Gloryer from FTF

Hello Gem and everyone. Not had Laptop for the last three weeks, has anyone missed me? Just to confirm me and Chris are definates for the York meet up. Not sure if we are coming by train or car yet though. Will probably be in York for around 10.30am. Book into B&B and then make our way to the History Fair. Intend going to a Pub for lunch and of course a few drinks. Just keep me informed as to which pub, the one we went in last year or the Weatherspoons? Happy to fit in with everyone else. Must dash, have to get ready to go down to the beach and then a pub crawl in Whitley Bay with Kim from Sandhurst who is up here in Tynemouth for a flying visit. Weather is glorious here bye the way. See you all soon. Jenny xx

Right my train gets into York Station at 9.30am I can meet at the station and then catch the bus to the Fair with whoever wants to. Is it fair to say we can meet about 1 o'clock at the Fair, at Ron and Carol O'Neills Table (Genealogy Printers). Or maybe a bit earlier/later if anyone wants. Or put a shout out over the tannoy like Jenny (Mommylonglegs) did last year. (so funny!) I would like to know if anyone would like to go back into York for a drink/something to eat. There is a Wetherspoons near the Train Station (unsure of its proper name) where we can go. There is car park not too far away from here for anyone who is coming by car. Gem:)

LLC that's what I am trying to find out,I don't want to get to York and find i miss meeting folks or it's not worthwhile coming is it??? We better keep this nudged eh?

Little Lost

Little Lost Report 21 Jun 2007 21:15

it would be a good idea if we could make a definate time and place to meet at the fair as some others from across the way will be arriving after most from on here. If somebody can suggest a time and place I will post it over on FTF

Ann L from Darlo

Ann L from Darlo Report 21 Jun 2007 19:45

Please can you let me know wether we are meeting at the fair or after the fair?? And where,as it depends on what's happening as to which train I get. Please

Think this is worth a small bump as its only over a week away. Hazel you and other half are more than welcome to come along. Who is getting the train to York? I can meet in York station and then catch the bus to the racecourse. Looks like it should be a good meet. Gem:))))
