It is indeed becoming more happier and more settled, And that is something that I cherish most dearly. Yet I for one would give my right arm to restore this Board to something more like that I once knew when I were a green, admiring and embracing young fellow. Yet I look at the first page of this Board right now ............ and I cannot help feeling that fatalistic boredom is only a heartbeat away !

I agree , haven,t been on much over last few days ,but when I have a quick look , seems to be lots of interesting and really funny threads .Why knock the people who are making an effort , if you can read a thread , you can also post one . If you don,t find anything of interest , add your own. If you don,t get a reply , try again and keep trying .... Kim xx

what i dont understand is.....whats supposed to be missing??? theres all kinds of things to talk about.also why not have some input.the only thing that i can see not here are the rows.maybe peeps want this instead. if new peeps come on the boards i make them welcome,and will help them if i can.if you feel somethings missing then add. some say any interesting threads dissapear of page one..........well nudge it back,if its that good peeps will add to it. just spell nudge then press.easy peasy.xx

Thanks for everyone who has added to this thread. I still stand by what I intended to say when I very first posted it. The board is peaceful and yes quieter due th the weather maybe and it so nice no sniping or goading. I have enjoyed the last 2 to 3 weeks as it is.

You know me, I don't think I have ever been determined to be bored! LOL - I'm not that sort of person so, in my case, I can't agree with you on that one, Ann, nor am I ever awkwardly determined to find fault. I am not against change either, I appreciate that over a period of time, everything changes and you either go with it or you don't. There are still threads around that I enjoy but they are so few and far between now that if I wasn't bored when I came here, I very soon am! LOL It's not a determination, just a sad fact. I'm not going to harp on about 'the old days' - they were better or worse according to individual opinion but the number of people posting now seems far less than it was when I first joined. There always seemed to be someone around that was on the same wavelength to respond to or debate with. I've tried 'retuning' but for me it's all 'static' so time to turn off. Mags xx

I will agree with you on that Mags, there are a lot fewer people posting on here now. Sadly that was the effect of the upset last september. I do still mainly enjoy it though. (I was actually not getting at you in my last post, honestly!!!). The strange thing is I can't get on with FTM, too many different boards and the brain can't cope with it all. I find that sometimes for several days I come on here and there is nothing that interests me. I just find the joky threads silly and I seem to be ignored if I 'speak'. Then another time I come on, there are lots of interesting threads, i add a few that are well responded to, there are threads to make me laugh etc etc. Now, given that the board contents and people don't really change much, I assume it is me and how I am on that particular day. if I am expecting to be bored, determined to find fault etc I will. I think in sociology it is what is known as a self fulfilling prophesy. Ann Glos
